It's all "Rare" and not "Ex." The items aren't really drops from Absolute Virtue himself, but he drops items that you trade to the NPC "Meret" in Tavnazian Safehold. you can look up all the items here: http://mysterytour.web.infoseek.co.jp/ffxi/us/ just click on the "Equipment" menu on the toolbar. Enjoy.

that's umm.. not quite worth the difficulty of the fight it seems :|
 
Aureole is a boomerang style weapon. Good for skilling throwing up for jobs that don't get those kinds of weapons :/
 
Jailer of Love drops a type of sin
where you trade for novio/novia earring

Feather in Phoenix got the first earring

Aureole is the single best ranged weapon for both RDM and BLM. I've been wantign that for ages ; ;

And Novio Earring friggin' rocks. And so do Novia earring.

Mars' Ring is also good if you need accuracy.

And honestly, it's highly likely that Feather beat Absolute Virtue. They are the best HNM LS server-wide... 2 of their PLD's have an Excalibur, and one of them have an Aegis. And the DRK have an apocolypse ; ;

I'm sure no one defeated Absolute Virtue though, because it would be all over the forums.

I think they're guessing he drops them because Jailer of Love didn't :P

Mysterytour is simply listing everything that they haven't confirmed the drop for, under Absolute Virtue, because who's gonna come, say "We beat AV, he drops such and so, here's screenshot proof" when nobody's beaten it?
 
Whats the fuss about anyway.Not like the NA community of Qtz is beating that thing anytime soon.Considering how helpful those blms are /hehe =)

Being a self-centered RDM I don't have much idea about how good most of that stuff is, but the Aureole is amazing...

And the drops would be confirmed from the ingame text... all of the listed items are obtained by trading a Sin (which has been widely assumed to drop for AV) to an NPC... that, conbined with the fact that none of the sins have been appearing anywhere else (as well as the strength of the items Speed Belt is Haste +6% and is highly sought after... compare to Ninurta's Sash...) makes it seem that AV is a pretty safe bet...
 
Now melee gets a taste of what mages think of sky.

That needs to be true, but I highly doubt it is. I'm sure it's all about the blms, like everything else (except byakko for some reason)
 
Err..

AV popped early today on Asura.. JP ls CFH on JoL just to kill it real fast.. With 25blm nuking on 3 sc's it died fast.. The reason they did this is so they wouldn't be worn out when AV popped.. Anyways, even though they were ready for AV, they barely nudged its hp.. Don't have much info right now, I'll update soon.
