Final Fantasy XI won't be released on PS3, the PS2 version works with the retro-compatibility and Square-Enix is not willing to do a new version. Eventhough a HD version could be interesting for some players, SE would rather like to lean on another MMO in the future, playable on PS3, Xbox360 and Windows Vista. But SE don't give up FFXI, they are actually preparing a new expansion.

For the PC gamers, SE is thinking on the possibility to implement a window mode for FFXI, the Special Task Force had indeed noticed several players using tier programs to get that mode and that could have some influences to use hacks and getting their accounts suspended.
When the game was released, it required all ressources from the computer, but now, with the computer's evolution, this issue is not anymore. However it is not official yet, more informations will come later.

For the veteran players who are interested to know if ToAU will still bring some surprises, we had learned that Salvage was a mini-game and doesn't meant to be part of the endgame content of this expansion. Salvage was envisaged long time ago and is not an answer to a lack of abjurations caused partly by RMT (Real Money Trader). Most of these abjurations are obtainable again thanks to the Special Task Force.

We are still waiting for chocobo racing and for the colosseum opening. SE is indeed late while comparing the planning. Please wait a little more because these contents are not done yet. It's useless to release an unfinished or bugged content. Our patience should be rewarded.

We have also talked about the french language in the game, like Chateau D'Oraguille, Bostaunieux Oubliette, Marron Glacé, Gâteau aux fraises, etc... those words are french in the english version. SE was willing to make FFXI an international game mixing up a bit of all cultures. For example, San D'Oria represents the Medieval's Europe with its elvaans, the famous french gastronomy is also illustrated, as the japanese's sushi. This view is also found out equipment like the sword Hauteclaire or the global mythology of the game. And to the question: "why the warp II quest's tarutaru speaks french?", believe it or not, it's because he's a cook specialized on the "french cuisine".

To end up, the question that everyone are asking:"Will Naja Salaheem give back our crown?" Mr Tanaka and Mr Sundi laughed out loud and asked us to wait and we'll be very surprised of the continuation of the events

Sounds interesting, I can't wait for new additions. A new expansion in the process! That sounds great :D

Now I wonder when SE is going to have or release info for this month's version update. We're in need for more ToAU missions, and rdm and blm updates! I also hope SE will start working on new fellowship events. My NPC is ready to hit 65 (the max) with possibly one more pearl call.

It's apparent they've just given in on the whole windower topic. I mean, how long has it been since Azaril's was last broken by an update?

cant say im suprised but meh another expansion...

Wish they would finish this expansion and add more gear and group 2 merits for Blu, Pup and Cor.

It will probably come out in 2009 if anything. Plenty of time to finish other aspects of the game.

Wait, wait... salvage isn't considered part of "end-game" in ToAU?

Wow... that amazes me. Salvage, in my oppinion, is the best SE have ever done since they made Rise of Zilart... So if something as awesome as Salvage is just considered a mini-game, it gets my hopes up rather high what ToAU end-game will be like.

I'd say it comes out in 2008 if anything. End of 2005 (soon after CoP content was finnished) they announced ToAU would be released. In April 2006 ToAU came. So I'm guessing once ToAU is finnished in 2007, they'll announce the next expansion in the end of 2007, and the expansion will be released in 2008.

Other then the big maybe on windower, its typical SE double talk. Whole lot of words that mean nothing. Oh and them understating how prevalant windower is, and how they claim it was cause of system resources instead of their own gross stupidity.
