Ok, I participated in the utilization of an exploit to dupe items and got temp banned to live another day. I understood the consequences of my actions at the time and would not have participated had I cared enough about my future involvement in the game, which means:
1) Save the woo woo woo attacks because I cheated and am here to stay and no amount of pissing and moaning on your part is gonna change that fact or make me feel guilty for my participation.
2) Check your self-righteous bullshit at the door because I know I did wrong and was willing to pay the consequences. The difference between me and you is that I had the balls to exploit something with concrete consequences while you in the interweb world exploit your own insecurities by channeling the negative affect from your life in aggressive attacks via the veil of the internet. Everyone knows what we did is wrong and everyone accepts that, however it is folly to fall victim to your own hubris of thinking you are better than us in all manners and walks of life (real or virtual) because of one mistake conducted in an absolutely abstract world. We did wrong and we are accepting the consequences.
3) This is in no way a defense of any of my accomplice’s attitudes or behaviors. Meastoso and I had an open dislike for one another because of personality differences and our contradicting ideals on what the game should be.
Many of you have leapt on the opportunity to discredit Kaizen simply because you have had a long standing distaste of the linkshell. We were quite aware of our ‘elitist’ perception in the community. Up until recently the linkshell has always been exclusive in its recruiting practices by only recruiting from word-of-mouth from standing members those individuals that had credible histories and proved themselves to be mature and responsible (obviously this standard is objective and we have harbored some members that don’t quite meet these expectations). Compound this with the fact that the NM scene is designed to pit players at odds and you can understand how the mixture of butt-hurt rejected applicants, jealous rivals, and our perceived holier-than-thou attitude breeds an air of animosity.
I do not know if Kisada obtained his relic through fishbotting or not, but what I do know is that a LOLKikoku definitely does not break the game or give even the slightest advantage on 90% of HNM’s so you cannot use that argument to conclude that Kaizen was formed or based on cheating. That is a personal attack made on him and cannot be aggrandized to include the entire linkshell.
You can not relish in the fact that the linkshell’s integrity is compromised based on one attack from a disgruntled ex-member of whom no current or previous member has come to the aide of. Even if you do still wish to clutch onto unreliable reports, you cannot budge the pride of the Kaizen because our pride was based on the fact that we did not marginalize any other shells ability to operate and did not procure any special means to accomplish our legend otherwise. We did tarnish the integrity of Kaizen when we opted to abuse the exploit, but our hands are still far far cleaner and our legend far far greater than others in the broader scope of this server’s history.
Like any linkshell in this game, we are a conglomerate of wide ranging personalities that come together to accomplish goals. We have rivalries and animosities in our shell just as any other and drama can arise from this. We democratically formed the rules through open discussions and dealt with most problems as a linkshell which is why none of this dirty laundry has been aired before. Instead of openly iterating that loathful joy you harbor at the realization that we aren’t as we made our appearance you should be saving your outbursts because they only confirm our maturity and skill of being able to bring diversity together and your obvious jealousy from your own incompetence to do so.
TO THE DOUCHE CANOE KNOWN AS PHRAUST:
I know you have disliked me ever since I replaced you as token thf in Kaizen. I did make personal attacks on you via the Kaizen website after you were kicked about your play style, but I am not about to stoop to your level and tout objective faults on a public forum aside from my defenses to your direct remarks. Besides, there is no need for me to waste my breath on the obvious. I would much rather another linkshell recruit you and have to live with the embarrassment we have had to for so many years. Yes, I concede that for several years now I have lost attentiveness to this game and not played to my full potential. I never aimed to gear myself to capacity in attempts to break the parse in merit parties. I did miss a few skillchains in my day, but for everyone I missed there was one you interrupted with your self light skillchain and inability to pay attention to the chatlog. You never once, even when asked several times, participated in a darkness skillchain once you obtained your relic on any mob, even when the mob was weak to darkness.
You claim that I led ‘secret’ runs aside from salvage. I have never been a leader of Kaizen and have never been obligated to include the full participation of members in every single one of my activities. What we did was conduct farming with friends aside from official linkshell events. We never once obtained points from these runs or the pops they provided, never once removed our linkpearls, and never once did we say anyone was not welcome to come. We may not have invited you because we did these things as ‘FRIENDS’ and enjoyed dicking around with each other during the battles since we were not under the high stakes of performing for points or gear for others and the outcomes of the battles held little importance. After the issue was brought up in the linkshell we sacrificed our enjoyment to accommodate other members who felt left out and began making open invitations. You decided to come on a Kirin run and almost insisted on lotting an item even though you had never helped to farm the pops, and in all honesty you made the low manned battle more difficult by blindly running into mages and weakened people in the tunnel when you pulled hate after all other melees died from your constant voking as sam/war.
You are a selfish bastard. The Ebody rotting away argument is beating a dead horse. You are too ignorant to realize that we actually changed the lotting rules and included SPs into the system as a direct result of your’s and Silfer’s actions. You leveled War, and within one week had deprived every War main of their gear because of your massive amount of points when you were still entirely gung-ho about Thf and insisted that was the only job you cared about. Robpeezy camped KV for 2 months straight day and night, sacrificing all of his free time in hopes of getting that helm. He never received one point from all the time he spent camping and you come along and lot his Ace’s. That was the only thing he even wanted in the game. You are probably too ignorant to realize that once again the ls campaigned to change the rules as a direct result of your actions by attempting to give priority on items to those who invested the countless hours camping a mob for the item. I am not denying that you didn’t break any fundamental rules, but you committed far more egregious exploitation of a system than we ever did and you have no consequences to suffer aside from the degradation of your reputation from your current immature decision to seek retribution by airing dirty laundry. It is true that none of us liked you and many of us pleaded with the leaders to remove you from the linkshell for years. Instead of attacking the leaders that kicked you, you should be thanking them for having the character and morality (Do not confuse this with the lapse in judgement in the current situation as this pertains to leadership skills) to allow you to operate in the linkshell and obtain gear even though they despised you as much as the majority of the linkshell did.
You have likened your lack of commitment to dynamis to myself and others. This is a grave mistake. I took it upon myself to lead dynamis and handled every single aspect of it on my own when you couldn’t even conduct a xarcabard pull without wiping the entire linkshell. Sure, I sucked at first and adamantly hated leading, but I manned up to the plate and accepted my responsibilities. One stipulation of leading Limitless in efforts to obtain relic was to assist the transition to the next upgrader. I, in fact, took less than 4 months to complete my relic and stuck around for 2 months to assist Doumoon in his transition to complete his polearm. You, however, completely stopped coming to runs the following week after obtaining your relic after you took nearly 2 years to complete it.
Springer’s Final Thought:
Is it true that we have become so committed to a game we have invested so much in that we are blinded by the lack of respect in the relationship. A relationship where the only time your voice is heard is when there are direct consequences of not listening. Mobs are not adjusted to become somewhat realistic until someone dies and there is a threat of a lawsuit. Adding new material to the game is dragged out as the expecting player base nearly passes out from holding its breath so long and then is disappointed by the inevitable filler and ‘tune-in in another 3-4 months from now’. Exploits are dealt with and justice is enforced (as it should be) only to be followed by changes seeming to be directly influenced and in the direction of the exploits- in our current situation the announcement of increased drop rates in some salvage areas.
There is no rationalization about what we did. There is no begging for forgiveness or leniency. However, there is the need to understand the drives and motives that drive us down the road to these decisions in an attempt to change the environment we live in as a necessity to prevent future abuses. The heavy hand may act as a deterrent to those who are blind to the relationship, but only gives an easy out and incentive to commit the act to those on the verge of divorcing the institution they have grown up with and love to hate.
If you people insist on feeling so victimized by us then go start a support group or something, because the malicious and derogatory posts are only self-justifications to your current commitment to the institution while you repress the fact that people reported this glitch over a year ago before any of us knew about it, but yet did nothing until now. Yes they listened to you in this instance, but how long did it take for them to hear you?
The Malicious and derogatory remarks that are sure to follow this post will only bring a smile to my face because your statements have little influence on those of us now tired of the game and willing to risk it all because we don’t care. Now I leave this entire dipshit community site with a warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach as you will inevitably writhe in your own squalor and distort my perspectives until it fits nicely into your self justified and self righteous views of the world.
1) Save the woo woo woo attacks because I cheated and am here to stay and no amount of pissing and moaning on your part is gonna change that fact or make me feel guilty for my participation.
