I hate my Wiimote, why would I want an Xmote?
 
Because for every developer except nintendo its too hard to include Rumble and motion in the same package for a fairly decent price.

Well, Sony tried to copy Nintendo already, at least microsoft's doing a good job of it.

They all copy each other. Look at the new PSN setup. Update 2.3 i think. It looks like XBL... painted blue... Its whatever to me, as long as they copy the good stuff lol.
 
Nintendo doesn't "own" motion control. Therefore anyone can make their controller anyway they please. Microsoft's controller is essentially the dual-axis with the left stick and analogs swapped and nobody gives them heat, who would really care if they went into motion controls.

Neither praise Microsoft for making a better "ripoff" than Sony, nor condemn them, cause we have no idea what the real MS motion controller will be like. For all we know it'll suck and be useless, could also be better, wouldn't be hard cause the Wii-mote kind of sucks IMO.

As Rappa said, it's just a mock-up.
I stand by my statement that this controller looks uncomfortable as fuck though.
 
Hmmm... You know Nintendo is using the XBLA creation program (cant remember what it is...) for their new Wii Ware. Who knows, could be a match made in heaven?
 
sony is also making a wii-mote type controller based on the game informer i just got in the mail today
