Heroes Season 2 (Possible Spoilers)

Fucking epicly awesome episode. Anyone else watch it?

I'm stuck in a frigging 9pm PST meeting for work! I hope the torrents are up when I get back.

It is nice to see that they got off to a awesome start. I love that show.

Agreed, Heroes is a badass show.

I'm wondering about the Hiro stroy arc though. Since Takezo Kensei turns out to be a selfish English guy, I wonder if Hiro ends up taking his place, and doing all the the legendary things that Takezo Kensei was supposed to do, so all the legendary stories his father used to tell him were actually all about him. In the old paintings, Takezo Kensei even has that 'flavor-savor' beard thing that future Hiro had. But who knows.

I know right?? Peter blew up, and Nathan flew him up really high to protect everyone, so Peter should still be alive because of the cheerleaders power, but Nathan should have been vaporized. I'm sure it'll all get explained throughout the new season.

You have seen how fast Nathan can fly right? Fly up let go fly off. Not very hard to figure out.

I think there's two possible explanations for why Nathan is still alive. Both revolve around the idea that Nathan flew him up real high, then zipped away shortly before the actual explosion.

1) The brothers' proximity reminded Peter how to fly, and he stayed up and contained the blast until Nathan was out of the danger zone.

2) Nathan acted as a stage 1 booster for Peter; that is, he accelerated him upward far and fast enough that his velocity / momentum would continue to send him upwards even after Nathan let go and flew off.

I also thought the new flight boy was interesting. Note that he looks a lot like the Petrelli boys. We haven't seen a gift repeat itself before, but is it possible he is another one of Nathan's bastards i.e. Claire's half-brother? Perhaps the gift is in fact different, such as telekinesis as opposed to pure flight, in which case he need not be related to Nathan. However he seems to know that Claire is special with very little circumstantial evidence. Could this be part of a long game by a shape-shifting Sylar?

Regarding Hiro, I totally believe that he will become Kensei. The swordsmith's daughter looks like a love interest, given the story Hiro tells. Note too the englishman's propensity for letting others fight his battles using his name.

I was actually laughing my ass off when they showed the Kensei to be white. At the end of Season one I had a feeling Hiro would be the Kensei.

My guess on the whole Sylar not dying thing is he's going to end up helping kill the bad man that Molly keeps seeing.

As for the flying kid outside Nathans window...I'm still confused on that. And those two people trying to get to NY or w/e.

I think Hiro is going to turn Kensei into the Kensei he knows from the stories. Hiro is going to be to Kensei what Ando was to Hiro. They already showed a semi preview of Kensei having a power but what it is who knows.

Edit. Sylar won't be in too much of this season because he is playing Spock in the new Star Trek movie so I am guessing he won't be doing much killing of anyone this season.

What's there to be confused about? The flying kid was outside Claire's window, he was the one who almost ran her over and talked to her in the gym. The two Spanish siblings, Maya and Alejandro, seem to be wanted for murder in Mexico and are fleeing to the US. I'm guessing the murders and all the people she murdered in the truck have something to do with her power.

This episode was awesome. I loved it

I'm sure it'll show Sylar stewing in some dark house till maybe episode 13 or so and he might be a good guy cause the new bad guy is so powerful.

And I think the current Kensei is too corrupt to even think about turning good.

I was in the middle of Dynamis while watching so I saw Nathan then it cut to the kid lol.

They showed a scene of Sylar wearing a hawaiin shirt sitting on the beach with some chick sipping margaritas and it looks like be obtained another power somehow. Looks like something to do with touching.

Edit. Kensei isn't too corrupt. He is in it for the money but I think Hiro is going to make him realize he has a greater purpose. Hiro has that effect on other characters it seems.

Thoughts RE: Maya & Alejandro

Well it's obvious that Maya has a deadly ability which is not (currently) under her control, and equally obvious that Alejandro has some way of supressing/controlling it for her.

I have two theories.

1) M&A are twins, and the ability somehow split between them.
2) Alejandro's ability is more general - i.e. he can suppress the abilities of any hero.

Maya's power seems (from the little evidence we've seen) to be either pathogenic or shockwavey. I'm leaning toward shockwave.

Next weeks episode is Titled Lizard. Supposedly Kensei's ability is also revealed. Wonder if Kensei is like a chamleon or something.

I think Hiro will become the new legendary Samurai.

Curious to know what those symbols mean, and what force took out Hiro's Father.
