Legend of Zelda Movie

I don't know what to say about this, something needs to be said...but I don't know what.

And the "film" is coming April 1st 2009?
 
yea, it's an april fools joke, even hollywood cant fuck something up that badly
 
They could have at least picked a better looking actor. =(

The guy that plays Link is ugly as sin, ganondorf is also kind of ridiculous looking, but I guess that normally goes hand in hand with real time video game movies. Still awesome nonetheless, I plan on going to see it.

Edit: Gah, now I feel dumb lol.
 
There is, however, an actual zelda film in the making called "Hero of Time."

Its a non-profit film, however, so you can expect it to not even be as shiny as the april fools one posted on IGN.

Ive been following it for about 2.5 years now. It was supposed to be finished over a year ago, and since the announcement of its delay, I didnt believe it was actually being made, lol. Just figured it was a joke on everyone.

Yeah, I do think it would for the most part be a crap film (you can see for yourselves) but Id be watching it just because Im a fan of the zelda series

IDK why, but the only thing I could think of when I saw this was "Join LARP Today!"

Its funny, if this was an actual movie that came out like 10 years ago people would have been ALL over it.
 
Now IGN should finish the joke next year by actually releasing the movie. That would be epic.
 
lmao, that's actually a pretty well-made trailer. Seems like some money and time went in to making it.

Ha yeah I thought the same thing too. It looked terrible but was done pretty well.

Wow, that actually looked to me like it would be a good movie, it's a shame it's a joke. It felt kind of LOTR-esque, and if someone made a Zelda movie that was as good as LOTR, I think I'd probably like it better. The only thing in that trailer that looked shitty was Ganondorf, he coulda looked alot better.
 
IGN paid an actual movie production company to do this trailer. It's real actors.
 
please save the title's respect among the many and leave it alone, if they ever feel dumb enough to attempt it in the future
 
I knew that it was April first, and the movie seems almost totally complete for it to be coming out in a year. I think Link / Zelda fans would have known about a movie before they filmed so much of it. :-P

Or they could have gone the Return of the Jedi route and started filming under a fake title(Blue Harvest) so that they wouldn't be overrun with crazy fans and media coverage.

dur April Fools :P pisses me off that they have the Triforce on the wrong hand and he's fighting with his right hand.. HE'S LEFT HANDED!!! >.>

They totally coulda gotten better actors if they were making a real Zelda movie anyways :P Link and Ganondorf don't fit imo and all of them are too old
