I am hoping in the next few days to resolve the issues regarding the portal page where, most pertinently, "login" will submit credentials to a non-existant address.
I doubt this will be done at an odd hour of the night, but other than cosmetics -- this will hopefully not interfere with participation on the site. This is serving to announce that in the near future we hope to bring these changes online.
What to expect:
The banner image right now is hacked so that it always points to http://www.qcdn.org/ffxi/index.php rather than pointing to www.qcdn.org/index.php when on that respective page. If all goes as planned, this hack can be taken out, and users will use standard navigation to view the forum. I think this will be an invisible change -- but this is a heads up. [i.e. you will still click the banner or thread link to view the forum]
The "login" option on the www.qcdn.org/index.php page will work correctly.
All dead links in the horizontal navigation menu will point to the correct pages.
All bookmarks currently set to www.qcdn.org/ffxi/index.php will still function and take you directly to the forums. You will not have to change these bookmarks even if we begin to use vBadvanced features. However, if possible, what you see now will be the default. If you choose to use the left hand navigation/fully widescreen Element styles you may opt to do so when we make it available. This is however not going to be implemented yet.

This integration will allow us to use a "modular" style board that supports multiple pages. We do not plan at this time to utilize these features, opting instead to simply restore full functionality before adding further features. I hope that you will get "what you see now," except it will all work.
