Not much news but I'm glad to see them stickin' with the modern warfare, I just couldn't get in to CoD: WaW.
 
No matter how good this game looks and how smooth the game play is... If its just another spawn camping fuck fest i will stop playing it within the first week as i did WAW.
 
I really can't wait for this. Just finished with 4 and Couldn't stand WaW really.

Of all the time I spent in MW, I never had a problem with spawn campin', thought you played the shit out of that game as well? You could get stuck in the southern corner of Bog but you'd only have trouble gettin' out if you sucked. The only thing I hated about MW was when it turned into a grenade fest and I also wasn't to fond of the air strikes and helicopters. The most you should get for a spree is points.

There was a spawn issue in MW also but it was addressed by IWard. It was no where near as bad as WAW anyways...

MWs issue was just predictable spawns.. Which they changed around and added a large amount of variety to your spawn point.

WAWs problem is they implemented an "Action Spawn" were they spawn you near people on purpose so you are "Right back in the action". Just happens to turn out it goes more like "WTF spawn camped again!!!"

I just pray IWard doesnt go the lazy lets make millions with a minimal effort route and copy over WAWs spawn system. I guess i owe them more respect then that tho.

The only problem I have with IW is that around a year after the game was out, after the huge ACOG update, they stopped doin' maintenance on the game and it got so laggy. They just up and said "I'm done toolin' with this game" to a game that was hangin' with Halo 3 in MP numbers.

I hope they don't do the respawn thing like WaW either, but I don't think they will. Most games use that system and it sucks balls. I doubt they do it though as adamant as IW was about spawn campin'. I remember in WaW beta, and the reason I never bought the game, and I forget the name of the two maps, but I could sit at one end with the sniper rifle and just gib people before they ever had a chance to do anything about me. That and also the tank level... vehicles don't belong in CoD multiplayer, especially when maps are as small as they are in WaW.

I'd like to see some MP achievements this time around too, but IW doesn't like the idea of people havin' to go Gold to get all the achievements, at least that was their stance for MW.
 
Bought WaW, what a waste of my money. Only played it like 3 times ever.

I love MW though, so I hope this one will be the same.

I'm sure as hell not buying it on day one again though, not making that kind of mistake twice.
 
To be honest, i play WaW alot! and im not sure what u mean by the spawn camping, ive never been spawn camped at all, nor have anyone i normally play with. The only problem we ever had was the glitchers, gettin under the map, elevatoring into the sky etc, but they fixed those without patches here and there, and the new patch just came out that completely blocks anykind of exiting the map to areas not allowed period, and it gave us that free map!
I have no issue with WaW now and guess i count myself lucky to have put in so many games and never had the issue of spawn camping

Chas i love ya man... But there is no way you are telling the truth. Maybe you just dont get as upset about it. There is no way to not get spawn camped in WAW. Its part of their spawning system.

its 100% the truth, i hate spawn camping, its why i dont play halo anymore.
but its never happened to me or my team in waw, you played with goose and overdose right? i asked them the same thing and they said the same i have, they never had an issue with it. weve put in alot of games, i mean alot. but i must just be lucky or something because i really never had that issue and i still play often.
 
I like both games but heavily favor Modern Warfare more. I don't mess with the online gameplay. I will probably wait till this game drops in price before buying. I hate spending 60 bucks for a game. I got the other two at a Circuit City going out of business sale.
 
Just read this, apparently details leaked from a play tester:

* Vehicles will be in MW2
* M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)
* Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes
* M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed
* Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return
* There are more unknown weapons that will not return
* New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
* New Assault rifle: Diemeco C8 (Canadian forces M4 equivelant)
* New Assault rifle: L85A2 (United Kingdom forces)
* Total weapons in multiplayer are said to be around 35
* Favourite Modern warfare 1 maps will return
* Helicopters, air strikes, UAV will return
* Red dot sightings will come in different shapes for multiplayer (circular, square, original)
* Snipers will have special grass camouflage (As seen in Modern warfare 1’s campaign)
* All perks will return from MW except eavesdrop and others will be altered
*All gametypes will return from MW and all will have hardcore versions
* New gametype: Secure (Call of duty version of capture the flag, however you capture the enemy’s Intel)
* New gametype unconfirmed name, similar to search and destroy, however instead of trying to plant a bomb, you try to kill a specified enemy
* Solider customization for each class (and each country)
* Sniper with silencers will NOT be in multiplayer
* There are NO bots in local multiplayer
* Similar version to Nazi Zombies, however details are unknown
* NO guest players online, 1 player per console
* Killcam save feature
* There is blood and gore
* Offline/Online Co-op
* Story takes place in the Middle East
* Role as US marines return
* Ken Lally voice work in campaign
* Release is set for sometime in November
* New army tags will be available to add different elements in campaign (similar to halo skulls)

SR25M, is that the uber silenced sniper from Ghost Recon?

L85A2 is my baby from Rainbow and i am sure will be far too powerfull.
 
Meh, seein' that list turns me off. Improvin' an already weak feature, killcam, and addin' vehicles, though hopefully not to MP, kinda makes me sigh a bit on the inside. There is always HC mode though I suppose, though I don't enjoy ALL the features you have to take goin' that way. Take out the radar, helis, vehicles, and air support and you've got a beast. That bein' said though, least we know we wont have to worry about controllin' an apparent Dwarf with some shitty "realistic" swing aim that's "intended" to be there.

The SR25m is a silenced sniper rifle, though I dunno if it's the one Ghost Recon. I'm pretty damn sure it's the real name of the silenced sniper used in the MP of Battlefield Bad Company.
 
IW said that "leak" was bs but they might just be trying to get hype. Hopefully day one purchase for me unless it looks awful.

M16 with stopping power wtf?? What poor excuse of a gunner (even in reg) needs stopping power on Carbine or m16 >.>

I liked the G3, I couldn't get used to a single burst going from burst action but I still would have liked having the option.

BTW.. anyone want to buy a brand new barely used WAW copy?
