Was deciding whether or not to bother getting HQ staves when there's a possible -3 perp cost for all summons with a much cheaper fay crozier. My only question is, does anyone know if avatars gain any atk/acc or magic atk/acc from the elemental staves as well? Or do they only give the - perp...

well a few hundred thousand gil is by no means going to get you to 100 smithing from 53, but I can help ya out with the next couple stages that should cut down some costs and if you do it right you could actually make some gil in the end. Make darksteel sheets until 55, usually they're cheaper...

If you just do crunches and sit-ups over and over again your body won't react to it as well as you'd like so it's best to change it up slightly. Leg raises are nice for abs, or you could always try planks if you know how to do those, I'd do those for about a minute if you can and do a couple...
