I ended up getting rid of my one Fealty merit, and I haven't looked back since. 5/5 Guardian and 5/5 Chivalry is the best way to go in my book.

This is FFXI - there will always be a bunny somewhere that can kick your ass. I fully expect fomor hares that check VT to 99s in whatever new zones they introduce.
