Party Location Changed! It'll be in Ru'Lude Gardens, 1 pm Eastern, Sunday, December 30. All the best, Fire

Favorite Things Favorite Quest: The map quest for the Crawler's Nest map. Lots of people don't like it, but it takes you to places in Vana'Diel you never would've known existed. If you have the right attitude this is a fun quest. Favorite 1 Party Battle: The Mammet-Omega-Ultima Airship...

Gettin down to the wire now, December 30 will be my last day. To those of you to whom I've promised some my endgame gear, Party at 1 pm U.S. Eastern Time, Purgonorgo Isle beach! Now for some reflections (yah, maudelin, I know, but it's MY "leaving the game" thread and I'll do it like I damn...

I't just that time for me now, the right time. It's the time for me to move on to other things. I'll be around until the end of the month, wrapping things up with friends, but after that I'll be gone. Playing, and living, this game, has been an extraordinary experience for me. It's been...

lots of people I know, respect and trust have replied here - others I don't know as well have too, and you're all saying pretty much the same thing. Don't merit -emn if there's any chance you're going to be tanking/kiting/etc. And since there's the possibility with both nin and rdm ... dayum...

k, here's the deal. I'm whm 75, all other jobs are 41 max, mainly because I truly love the job. Someday I may want to level up other jobs such as blm, rdm, nin or ranger ... but I haven't gotten to that point yet. I've been meriting off and on, and I'm about to be forced to chose to do four...

Sadly, Kinkkerbelle has gone on to other things. Real life commitments have resulted in her not having the time or energy to commit to ffxi. As a result, she sold her gear, gave her gil away to her dear friends, and has moved on. Kinkkerbelle played this game with passion. She was always...

I generally use a combination of three methods: 1. Set up target macros for the two or three main tanks, if you're not in the tank party; 2. Use <tab> and first three name letters; and/or 3. Just type the names into a target command. There is no ideal solution - but each party in an...

A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread on the flameboard, where I prolly should have waited till I cooled down. It was about leveling alchemy and farming/buying malboro vines and what a pain in the ass they both were. In any event, the responses were pretty good, and mostly appropriate, and...

My take's pretty simple. I know the Fonz, have done quests, skillups, etc. with him in the past. He's a good guy and an upfront guy, I have never seen or heard anything bad about him, and I trust his judgment and respect his opinions. If Fonz had problems with this person I don't want...

lol, just read all the comments to the OP for the first time. Lotsa good stuff, and some good observations. Yah, I was feeling pretty frustrated at the time I wrote it, now am calmed down and actually look back on the OP with a sort of a wry smile. I'm a bit chagrined that I posted it...

I had it happen leveling up woodworking, and now it's happened with alchemy. I'm at 58.5 alchemy now, got all set up yesterday starting at 56 to synth a bunch of Hi Pots with a goal of reaching 60. The skillups absolutely SUCKED! I finally run out of Malboro vines, none on ah, cost per vine...

I'll take +1 refresh effect over +1 hmp anyday, everything else being equal. From what I'm seeing, to get refresh and +4 INT, I would sacrifice 1 MND and 20 MP. That's a sacrifice I'd willingly make for more autorefresh. Fire

gratz! ^^ Fire

Grats, man. I know someone else who's been in the same boat (still is, come to think about it). Anyway, grats on your zenith mitts :D All the best, Fire
