3113 error might be client or isp specific. I was able to login at my brothers house with a different pc and ISP, but still not from my home computers. I don't want to but if it keeps up tommorrow I will reinstall. Does anyone know if "Checkfiles" runs a checksum to files to verify...

Did a "checkfiles" - reinstalled "Client for Microsoft Networks" as refered to in old posts with FFXI-3113 error. No bad files. Still taking the shaft with protocol timeout error. I tried multiple computers.
