Unfortunately, yes. From what I understand from dev interviews, FFXI would have to be "reprogrammed" in order to drop PlayOnline.

You could try bringing back the Real Life board too. It had a lot of interesting stuff and met it's end due to one of the admins thinking it caused too much drama.

I wish was this close with people in game. Sucks to hear when a name you'd see all the time has passed on. Can't recall if I ever hung out with him or not. Feels like we had time together though.
