since i play on PS2 i cannot do this myself but can someone figure out how to unlock the chocobo stables in the new area?

I was wondering if there is any new "avatar content". At the end of the "waking the beast" quest, it was hinted that there would be more to do, I was wondering if anyone found anything on this?
