not enough memory

ok, so today I tried to copy+paste a web page into microsoft works. but it said there was not enought memory to do that and I needed to close stuff down. What does this mean? that I have run out of memory in my computer? ; ; do I have to erase some stuff now? I think I should have enough memory...
