My girlfriend's macbook (laptop) is making a random beeping noise-- not too loud, just a soft beep that shouldn't be happening. I don't know squat about mac's and couldn't figure out what the issue could be. Does anyone know why it's doing this and what I may be able to do to fix it for her?

I'm in the market for a new notebook. I'm mostly leaning towards an HP Pavilion dv9000t. As much as I want to spend over 3 G's for this, I really don't want to run over $1,500 US as I'll only be doing some light gaming on it. I just need something that can handle up-to-date games fairly well...
