skillups

Ok so, skilling up parrying is just one of those things where you set out to do it, and get no results... yet when you're just screwin around soloing you seem to get (albeit rare) So say I wanted to try... again... to go out specifically to level parrying. Does the weapon you wield affect...

Okay now people say "go to a spot you would exp at the level of the weapon" (IE: Staff is 100 *cry* which mens Garlaige?) but 1: I dont wanna kill around exp pt's.. and 2: I'm a uh.. whm.. Rdm can solo up to EM... WHM can't solo worth anything without proper gear/jobs... So I am curious now.. I...

I'm a level 40 job, skilling up an A+ skill on a level 40 monster. My skill is 3 levels below cap. If I equip an earring that gives +3 to that skill, will I still get skillups? Or will I have to remove the earring to get those last 3 levels?

No I didn't get 100 yet. XD But I had 2 cool things happen lol. First: 4 .1's in a row to get me to level 71 quickly. :D I was 70.3 when I started as well so all my skillups to get to 71 are on that one page lol. Then I kept chugging along hoping to max out at 72 before I ran out of...

So I'm at 80cloth, and decide to start going for arhats hakamakas, so I buy enough materials to make like 10ish of them just to start out, now remembring how rainbows went (profit, but sloooooooow skillups), I feared for the worse going like 50synths a lvl, except this time at like 70k/synth...

Hi all! Has anyone posted a thread exploring the possibility that Mog energy affects skillups? If not, I wonder if there's a crafter out there that would be willing to experiment with capping a skill/magic type with and without the furnishings out in MH. I know that would be a lot of work...
