Yea that's pretty much what I was thinking from what I had been told.

meh, either way I'll play, I don't care at all about any prizes. The game is fun.

I don't quite understand how the 1 v 100 actually works, as far as the live shows go. A couple people told me you're picked randomly out of the extended play and just appear in a live game. Others said you have to start when one of the live games starts, but I thought that's what I had been doing the whole time.

The extended play is mostly for people to just get together and play, while maxing out their sweepstakes entries.

From what I understand, during live games people are picked randomly out of the crowd to play in the game based on how well they are doing for the round, so you don't have to be there from the beginning for a chance to play rather just between different contestants.

What I find most hilarious about the live show is the host making fun of people for taking the money and stopping at 2,000 MSP.

I usually get on when ever there is a show, so you need another feel free to hunt me down.
 
I find it kind of funny they obviously make every possible avatar that's not actually a person into a female. It's like I'll have 3 people that I'm actually playing with that are all dudes and all the crowd people are female. Do the devs think XBL people are like really lonely or something?

But anyway yeah I know you can join a new game every 30 mins, but if you get disconnected then it really sucks cause well... if you jump in the game has already started. I just wish it'd start new games whenever 100 people got in on it. Not for prizes necessarily... just saying.
 
We should all get together and run a QCDNish 1 v 100 when the shows are running.

Would/could be fun!

They did say how they pick people for the live shows last night. It is based on how much you play for that week. Your lifetime score which is reset each week and the speed at which you answer all factor in.

Can you believe that joker after joker took the 'money' even though it was announced a bunch of times they wouldn't get anything.. but possible sweepstakes.

I posted in the 1 vs 100 forums about the 'Gold Album' question.

I said I hoped they would be doing more research on the questions and answers before using them in live games.
 
I knew my answer was a guess but it was the most reasonable guess. A million is platinum and I knew 10000 was way too low. That only left 100,000.

Yeah they should definitely do some more research before doing that again.

Yeah I don't know why they took the money but oh well it speeds things up and gets more people a chance to go if they take the money so I don't care how they do it.

I will definitely be doing that again tonight though.

Yes according to the RIAA the correct answer wasn't even given as an option. It should have been 500,000.

Live game is fun. You said you're playing all next week to try to get a spot in the MOB. I would like a shot at the MOB as well. I'm intrigued to see how they go forward with this game. Whether it will be a monthly fee. But like I said in game party how could they charge monthly when you barely have a shot at mob appearances or the ONE for that matter. They would have to tweak the chances at getting a shot otherwise it will be another form of highway robbery.

Actually now that I think of it.

They could charge for customers who always want to play at a chance for a MOB spot and everyone else can 'always' play for a crowd spot, having the choice not to pay but never having a chance at a mob spot or the one for their opting out of paying. That would decrease the number of people you would have to compete against for mob spots. IDK ... was thinking.

They could have, say, 75 seats reserved for paying players (who when they pay, are able to schedule when they want to be in the mob), and the other 25 plus the One for random picking.
 
I am probably going to have to try this week and next week. I have a party to go to on Sat so I might not get into the mob or 1 spot Fri so I will have to try next week too I guess.
 
I only played a few mins but as beta version there aren't any actual prizes yet right? What really ticked me off was that you can hear other people buzzing in their answers, so it sways your answer given how the mob is buzzing in. Asides from that seems like if they get rid of a few bugs (my friend got disconnected a few times at the very end when they decide the winner and loser/s) could be very fun game. Props to M$ on a good idea and decent execution.
 
They do have sweepstakes prizes you could win. You just don't win anything from being the mob or the one.
