Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .."

I definitely think this is a must >.> fuck congress and elected officials that get treated differently from ordinary citizens.

I'd go further and say we need another amendment or at least a law that "All federal elected and appointed officials may only serve a limited number of terms and will receive no benefits once they have ended their service" :|

A good start would be making an actual website for it, rather than a facebook page.

I've seen this posted a few times on facebook and it's incorrect. I never trust chain email/facebook things like this and it's pretty easy to just google or search factcheck, snopes, or politifact to find out the false information.

Still say there should be an amendment to limit terms for elected officials and the people they appoint (Secretaries, Judges, etc) and they shouldn't be allowed to increase their own pay, that's stupid as hell. And I don't think they should get benefits after they are finished with their terms. Yes, this does happen. President gets coverage for life :|

Presidents also get paid comparitively jack-crap nothing for the amount of work they are expected to do. Probably why there hasn't been a decent candidate fot the job in 16 years....

Expected to do doesn't mean it's what they do. Even so, this is supposed to be a SERVICE not a career. All politics is supposed to be a service, not a career. We should reinforce that. The founding fathers intended it to be something people do for a little while then return to their main job in the private sector :\
