ARGGHHH get it straight....newb vs. noob

Lol its not so much a rant as a clarification. I think the game handbook, which i thought was good fun, clarifies it.

A Newb is someone new to the game. We have all been newbs so calling some newb makes you look like a fool. It is the initial stage where you discover the aspects of the game, especially if its your first MMORPG.

A NOOB is everyones favorite person in the game. The are friends, enemies, PC, PS2, NA, JP, they are everywhere (although its almost an accomplishment to find a JP noob). They are the people who just never "get it". People who think that War/Whm is just as good as a Pld, who immediatly after inviting a Rng at level 30 asked if anyone had ranged weapons cause me to disband, say words like 1337 and pwnz or whatever in all honesty and seriousness. A noob is a name thrown around by noobs. If your ideas are too correct, you are a noob to noobs. Basically think of a noob as a boob. Not the kind that guys enjoy, but the kind of boob that works this way in a sentence "John is such a boob".

Get it straight guys :D

And stop saying gils. Gil is similar to the word Moose. 1 gil, 2 gil, 3 gil....

Damn Ecks I do say that I am impressed as hell. That was amazing that you could come up with something like that. I've only seen it one other place...../em shudders in thought.
 
If you ever wanted an example of how not to write a strategy guide, the Brady Games Guide for FFXI is your text book and bible.

It had some decent pics but overall.....a waste of money.
 
Nubs!!! I absolutely hate that word.. created by retarded CS players, probably originated by some kid who didnt know how to spell noob or newb. Towards the end of my CS playing experience it seemed all the immature kid CS players were using nub instead of noob or newb, while those who were older players still used the correct words/terms.

I mean really.. wtf is a nub? I absolute hate hearing my younger brother actually say nub instead of noob when he's playing CS. Arg.. I mean if your gonna say or spell the word which is a simple four letter word at that.. at least do it right.

Its noob or newb. Heck newb itself is already a shortened version of newbie why shorten it even more, make it more retarded, by using nub..

Argh.. I freaking hate that.

I think nub was intentional. ie: nub - small *bleep*. hehe it's a (Double Attack)

It's a refreshing term to see instead of n00b from posers and others that think they have a clue.

lil more clarification...newb is for ppl new like Fae said. Lowbies be low lvl ppl with experience. Noobs are ppl who just dont know what theyre doing, but listen and improve once you drill into their hard as titanium skullz. The infamous n00b is what we should all dread and shun and spit on and avoid like the plague. But i dunno, i dont think im a n00b, maybe someone Ive PTd with here can back me up...but i dont hesitate to use the word when someone is being true to the definition.
 
ah yes. i see now. the words are all spelled differently and with different letters...i've been doing it wrong for years... :cry:
 
Lol Keits dont worry my roomate bought the guide when I first got the game. I got the majority of my info that I use in game by sifting through the massive quantities of shit found in forums for those nuggets of genius and also simple common sense.

"Whats that you say? Ninja/Red Mage?! Why that is brilliant! I can nuke AND heal on top of being a pimped out tank! Why thank you..."
 
Don't knock NIN/RDM... I am a true believer that it can be an effective party member post 32... and a good damager post 40. I'll post what I posted in my BigFun forums on the combo, as someone was asking for atlernatives to NIN/WAR's blink tanking. ^^
