Back in the day T.V.

Rocco's Modern Life
One of my all time favorite TV lines comes from that, two kids were standing in a comic book store (Rocco's work) and one says something like: "Once you've seen a nubian fairy godess you'll never be able to love, because you will spend the rest of your life searching for that beauty once again." and the other kid looks at him and goes "Wow... You're an idiot."

The episode where Hef found out he was adopted was awesome too.

Their Earth Day episode stands as the only cartoon episode of that type that was funnier than the actual show, and also the only musical episode of any show, ever, that was worth watching. ♫"I guess we might as well. We've all got nothing better to do."♫

·American Gladiators
For absolutely no reason I thought about Wesley "2 scoops" Berry last week.

For me it was always the big 5:
He-Man
Voltron
Thundercats
GI Joe
Spiderman and his Amazing Friends (Firestar was hot! Literally!)

SPOOOOON!

(was mentaly blocking it due to the dire live action Tick. Way to open the wound :<)
The live action Tick wasn't terrible, it had a shaky first few episodes like every other show ever, spending too much time in character introduction for a show that didn't need it. Patrick Warburton was great as the Tick, I had my doubts about anyone being able to play the part until watching him for a couple episodes. Christopher Lloyd and Dave Foley had unforgettable guest appearances in the almost half season it was on the air.

Cartoons nowadays are too squeaky clean. And I'm not even talking about Disney.

Labyrinth....mmmmmm....

Have you watched it lately? It still ROCKS ASS - but I didn't notice (as a kid) what a huge cup David Bowie wears. It's like a train wreck, you just cannot....look....away

/sigh oh David...you can be my Goblin King anytime <3

LMAO...

I was 11 when it came out, so not really. As I got older and watched it... ya, I noticed... a lot :nyam:

I remember the episode where Rocko lost his Appendix and they went to a carnival or something. I just have an image of the last scene in my head when he's saying goodbye to his appendix and sees his baby teeth, and Heffer says goodbye to his fat. The whole series was just full of terrible innuendos, I really want to get all these shows on DVD to remember the good times.

TV was so much better back then, so much more substance and good humor that we could enjoy as kids, and adults could watch and see the deeper levels of the jokes.

Yeah I watched Labrynth a few months ago actually. I might have noticed his cup...I don't know. To this day I still couldn't tell you what that movie was about, not even the plot. I remember David Bowie, and I remember a little muppet guy, and I remember an Ifrit muppet...and that's about it.

My friends and I have a Labyrinth drinking game, and one of the rules involves David Bowie's package.
