Here I am. Sitting at work and all I want to do is go home, log in, and fish... Am I crazy? Shouldn't sitting in one place repeatedly hitting Alt - 1 be mundane and tedious? I don't know if I should be happy I enjoy this or sad that this is what I find enjoyable in life. :D I just want to get to a fishing lvl of 20 tonight and turn in my guild item.

Check my comment on what I believe a "life" to be in the flameboard
under the "get a life" thread. I hope that makes you feel better :D

Fishing is in my blood! This will bring me the income to lvl my other synth crafts. Excellent! Something about the extra slow skill level gain that makes the 0.1 increase so much more rewarding. 3.5 hours until I can go home and fish digital creatures. /clap

Edit: Or better yet it will finance my Gobbiebag quests...

Hate to be the party spoiler, but if you want to level other skills, you will need more than just fishing to do that... except maybe cooking.

Personnally, I mined like crazy to get to level 20 in smithing. Then I was fortunate enough to get Leaping Boots from LL and sell them, twice (I know, I know, should have kept them, but like Kurgon, I just like seeing that 0,2 skill increase)for a total of over 500 000 gils. That money was sufficient to power level my smithing to 34 and my alchemy from 0 to 32.

As you can see, it costs a lot of moeny, because all the items you make sell for less then the material used to make them (don't even get me start on minnow, HUGE loss there).

Anyway, I would suggest starting with Alchemy, less expensive and easy to farm (treant bulbs x 2 and water takes you to level 43), then use the income you make (if you are lucky) to raise your smithing!

Oh, would you look at that, I did become a party spoiler! lol Just don't want you to make the same mistakes I made! Good luck bro!

Ehh my plan forward is to take the fish I catch and lvl up my cooking, I have a guide that will use the fish I catch and raise my cooking to about lvl 60+ cooking. I also found a guide that uses fish to lvl up alchemy to lvl 78. So I figure that through dedicated planned steps I can lvl 3 crafts almost simultaniously but slowly. Once I get through that I'll be good to go hopefully.

Wow, that's good!!! I have a hard time leveling my Alchmy past 40 now... at least to 46-47, then I can make holy water with distilled water, cheap (altough light crystals are 8K a stack) and use that to make holy weapons.

Your guide to level alchemy with fishing, is it on the web or you bought that? If it is on the web, would you mind sharing the link? I could use that!

Also: Titanictus.com has a good series of FAQs/guides for other crafts that are skewed towards fishing (things like, "Fisherman's guide to Alchemy" where you use lots of fish, etc.), plus good overall fishing info. :D

Buy a laptop lol and play all u want whenever u want ... except at work lol u might get into some trouble
