I think the better question is why does anyone who isn't new exp in the dunes? Pretty much every job should be able to solo to 20 with all the stuff thats out there to help them. Yes, even the mages <_<
 
You can solo to 18 in all the town starting areas, thanks to the boost in easy prey exp and a handy emp band you can just about bypass the dunes altogether now.
 
Soloing is boring.

meh, at least you tried to educate him, all new players need guidance, unfortunately the fact that this game has a distinct "right way" to play especially at lower levels is one of its downfalls imho.

This guy will have other people tell him whats what, and maybe when he gains a few levels hell choose to get it, or he wont.... either way hell be excluded if he doesn't conform

I think a flame is a bad way to welcome a new player, god knows we need the to cull the exodus. I encourage people to at least give this guy another chance and hope it goes well, maybe point him in this direction so he can take some constructive criticism from this thread and learn to hate Tag like we all do. :) jk jk
