E73 Error

A friend of mine is having this problem with his 360 and Microsoft wasnt able to offer any information, just to cough up 100 bucks.

Was wondering if anyone knew of some guide or what we could do to possibly fix it?

unless they modded it, chances are they can still send the 360 back to M$ for repairs.

Its E73 not 74 btw, Its not modded but we were looking to do it without having to send it in to MS for 100 bucks.

my bad, you could prolly do the x-clamp fix to make it work again but that'd involve cracking your 360 open and voiding the warranty, and there's no guarantee it'd fix it. refer to the "RROD might as well be" thread for details about the x-clamp fix (there's link on there i think to youtube vid that walks you through the entire process - or a reference to it anyways).
