The Elite had HDMI. But they they decided to make it a part of all the other SKUs. When it was the only one, $80 over the pro/$180 over the basic for the 120 GB HDD and HDMI was a severe advantage.

Damn I didnt even know that lol, so all the SKU's have HDMI now?

Yep. Only the elite comes with a cable though. Cause you know, those are so expensive.

Heh, PS3s don't even come with component cables. Talk about bringin' the lulz.

Im in Stamford Fire! We have plenty of every version at the EB's around here lol... But i understand Stamford was probably the last resort?

I just searched through all their websites for inventory over a large radius. Really was nothing, even in a city big as Stamford. Of course every one of them had arcade models in. Hilariously, the Radioshack in Ridgefield had 2 premiums, and was less than 5 minutes from my home. There aren't any Gamestops, Circuit Citys, Walmarts, Targets or Best Buys til Danbury. Obviously Radioshack did a poor job advertising they sell the things. They guys let me open the box too and make sure it was a Falcon model.

I was pretty sure after that ordeal that the arcade model was probably just a talking point. You decide to buy the Xbox 360 cause of the arcade price, then you consider the value proposition for the premium and realize it's the better deal. It's how Walmart operates too. They lure you in with the basic model that's cheaper than in any other retailers, then it's stacked next to upgraded models that you end up getting, which cost more than in other retailers. Not saying the Premium is a scam, just identifying the business tactic.
