Favorite Album / Band / Song

I don't understand how someone can have a favorite album that's not by their favorite band.

Because sometimes a band makes a really fucking sweet album, and then follows it up with a really fucking awful album. Alot of bands I listen to are notorious for doing this (PaTD, Brand New, Fenix TX, Straylight Run, Saves the Day, I could go on all day).

I would probably say my favorite band is Coheed and Cambria, because they have been consistent through 4 albums now and make some pretty sick music (And are ridiculous live).

Favorite CD - Tie between "Borders and Boundaries by Less Than Jake, or "Stay what you Are" by Saves the Day. I could listen to either over and over again for the rest of my life.

Song - Freebird. Reminds me of my Dad. I used to go to Skynyrd every year and when they played it I would call him so he could hear it over the phone and we'd both cry like babies.

I love Death Cab, but i feel the Dashboard Album was so well done, for a live album that is.

In my case, though Incubus is my favorite band, I can't really choose one album or one song from everything they've made. I like it all. I could choose 3 albums that I like the most, and I could choose a lot of their songs.

And for the favorite album, like I said, it's the album I've been listening to the most recently.

I still stand by my opinion that Sabbath was the first metal band ever, just to clarify.

I absolutely agree. You can find roots of everything from thrash to sludge in Sabbath.

I love Joy Division as well, you lose all hope when you listen to them. Have you seen 24hr Party People yet? That seems to be a must-watch for any Joy Division fan.
