Free Gil

I know, but if SE were to start selling it "much much llower" then those other sites, allowing easy access for anyone to buy it, I can garantee you that all of a sudden, a lot more people are gonna be overnight millionaires.

Simple economy basis, inject a huge amount of money in any given market, prices inflates, less buying power after a while resulting in a diminution of consomation, eventually loss of job (inability to make money in our case).

PLUS increasing a problem is no way to fight it.

Why make money if you can just buy it for $5 or something like that. Better yet, buy that Astral Ring from SE as well.

That way people who don't have enough time to farm stuff, but are able to buy it are happy, and those who got nothing else to do but farm can still farm the gil to purchase something with the gil as well.

Prices only inflate if the supply is limited. One could argue that the supply in the game is infinite, but currently the supply in game is limited on a per time unit basis.

If the supply were indeed infinite by virtue of just spending $5 on whatever piece of gear you want, then prices couldn't inflate, or at least not bottomless.

Scully, I see what you mean, everybody gets what they want in a sense, depending on what purpose you play the game.

The only problem I see with your comment (and this is all just for discussion sakes, not arguing here  ), is who will farmers sell they're stuff too? If people go and buy gils or items dircetly to SE and only farm when they don't want to spend money, who's gonna buy what they farm? Eventually, they will get bored of selling they're stuff to Vendors and will buy what they need from SE as well.

Let's say that happens... leveling your character and progressing in the game will only become a question of who is richer and can afford it. Plus, can you imagine what control over our pockets this gives SE?

I know I am pusing this to the extreme, but we have all experience how impatient people can be playing this game to get ahead. Offering them an easy way to go, with money, will make them jump on it.

Maybe this would be different if in return, you could sell gils or items back to SE for real money, providing them with a supply of stuff to sell.... but this is getting us back to the starting point, regular AHbut with real cash involved.

Anyway, this is just my though on it, not pretending to no better then anyone, as I said, all for discussion pruposes! :)

Final though: If we push this farther, SE could also sell characters, like I saw on certain sites. Why then would you play the game if you can bu a level 70 character, fully geared, right after installing it? As the guy from the fishing guild says, "Half the fun is getting there".

Amen - this is why I don't like New Game+ in Chrono Trigger.

I'd a like a New Game- mode that remixed things and made them a bit harder - like the second quest in the original Zelda.

Anyhow, kinda off-topic.

What the hell is wrong with you? New Game+ whats freaking awesome.
Great replay value added to an already great RPG the first time around. New game + was there so you could experience all the multiple endings. Mainly because theres no way else you could do them, let alone survive fighting Lavos if you were on your first time through the game at the early parts.

Don't be hating on New Game+ for Chrono Trigger. It was and still is teh pwns. You know you enjoyed having luminare at the beginning of the game, don't deny it.

I must have played that game like 5 times or more completely. Not to mention I even bought it for Playstation (FF: Chronicles).
