gore 10 year plan possible? and better?

Conspiracy theories aside, lets look at "public" education pragmatically. If Government Schools were to be handed over to the private sect, it sure would free up a LOT of money in the decrease of taxes having to be paid. Which is perfect for letting every child have a student loan for themselves if they so choose. So yes, even the poor in this country would still be able to recieve a quality education, is they so choose.

Lets think about all of the kids who float through school not giving a shit, playing video games while hyped up on coke, who have the potential to get A's or at least B's, but choose to slack off. Guess what? We are all still paying thier way through high school and tacking a diploma to thier chests as they make thier way into the bright and scary real world.

I don't want to pay for these kids anymore. If they don't give a shit, why should I? Let thier parents actually "parent" them properly, instead of relying on the government to fuck up thier lives. A kid who does well in school, and thusly college, will make money, plenty to recoup the cost of thier own education. I did. And it wasn't that much of a struggle.

If we stop giving out so many hand outs and make these kids sink or swim, we'll find out most of them (instead of some) can actually do the backstroke.
Yes, there lot kids that don't care about school. They get C and D because they do half their homework and barely past their test. Sad part you still be paying for them with wellfare. It not like schools don't have Ib and advance classes. because they do. However even though joe somebody does not want to learn if they don't learn atleast the basic then you are going to be paying for them the rest of there lifes. Least if he can count to 100 and read a cereal box he could fill out a application to get a job at fast food, or wal mart.

Think George Carlin sum it up good

The issue is no one really cares. Senate put this program make them look good. If the bill was thought out and used what it there for to allow all kids to get the proper education it be great thing, but it not and it hurting education more then helping.

Now I never said that nuclear is not a good source or that it won't solve some the problems. I said not not they way we should go because you will have same problem down the road when it come to obtaining uranium, and that there are protecial hazards if something should go wrong. Oh and btw I'm a mccain man myself, Obama is to kerry for my liking.

Sorry for the assumption, I've seen you side with what Obama has said on things before, and just assumed you were one of his fervent supporters. And you aren't completely wrong with what you just said about Nuclear power, but the idea that people could suffer an accident of the likes of Chernobyl is laughable.

McCain is meh... but Obama is a socialist pig. The Libertarians have my vote, for what it's worth.

There's easy ways to preserve power and reduce the need to expand plants, be it coal or nuclear.

Now, VERY few want to decrease their living standards, and a lot of people would prefer to have it better then they currently have it. The EASIEST way to save power, though, is to replace all of your lamps with low-cost lamps (which are more expensive, but last longer) in order to reduce the ammount of electricity keeping the lights on in the house require. The other way is to turn off all electronic apparatuses. That means pulling out the cord, as they still use electricity (albeit very little) while they are on. That also includes turning off the lights in the kitchen, bathroom etc. whenever you don't use it.

For example, if you keep ONE 4-watt light on for 8 hours when you sleep, that lamp will use 115KJ during an 8-hour night. That is not a lot, as that's roughly what a car use every 2 sec. However, nation-wide, that amounts to a lot of energy saved. If 2 million households turned off 1 4-watt lamp for 8 hours instead of leaving it on, that would result in 230000000000J energy saved, which is 230000000KJ, which is as much energy as a car uses every 2333 days or something, and that's how much electricity 2 million households would save every 8 hours just by turning off 1 4W lamp. If every household in America would turn the lights off and pull out the plug for all electronics/rooms they don't currently use, a lot of energy would be saved. And its something that really doesn't require all that much effort to do.
