Kind of looking for a new MMO to play on my down time (also when I'm not on my 360. XD)
I've heard mixed things about it though. Anyone care to share their opinions/reviews? :3

Good graphics, good atmosphere, not too difficult

Terrible grind, not much to do end game besides PvP your ass off. What raid PvE exists requires pretty much perfect group set ups(cookie cutter) to handle.

Bleh, thanks.

It's fun to start out, but once you get to the endgame it's a whole other story.

I played it...lasted about 2 months or so. i just couldn't get into it i guess

I think Darsha played it (Stan Darsh on these forums). He seemed to really enjoy it ... he disappeared from ffxi for a while because of it actually.

I played it for several months, along with a few others from QCDN here. It was fun until endgame. I think someone already said it, but yeah, end game required cookie cutter gear and skills for each class in order to be effective in pvp.. which was really the only thing endgame had going for it and it sucked because of how onesided things were.

I've been enjoying myself, but yes at certain key points (or levels) you find yourself wondering just what to do. The grind aint so bad now since they doubled the exp rewards from quests, plus the game gives your exp gain a boost if youre off the game for extended periods of time.

Leveling itself, was never an issue for me with Aion. It was just.. what to do at the max level. PvP and or do that one ranked instance that I forgot the name of. Sure there were a few other instances of note to do. But that was it, the majority of endgame consists of just PvP when you're not trying to grind out quests for the best gear in the game. The exp grind is not the grind I didn't enjoy, because gaining exp wasn't all that hard. It's the massive quest grinding to get the best armors and weapons in the game that got to me, and the fact that PvP wasn't that fun because I was always getting owned even when I was trying to win. Not fun.

Eh guess being a ranger/sin/spiritmaster helped me not suffer with PvP lol
