Joyeuse finally mine!!

After over a year of trying to camp and fight this NM I have finally attained this beautiful sword :biggrin: Stayed up the entire night and into a good chunk of the morning with my brother (Terribleone) and a couple good friends for the pop.

Was tons of fun though. Wasn't alot of ppl there to CC us. Just a couple ToD getters was about all. The initial set-up was nin (myself), whm, rdm. Figured this would be a decent set-up >.> Anyways I get claim with voke and we proceed to fight it. Wow, of all the times I've fought Chary I was rdm. I had no idea it was this tough to tank. Even with all my evasion gear it was going through my shadows faster then the Utsu count timer can reset. Learned the hard way that a brd is a must in this fight.

Wiped the first time and we rr and heal up. Luckily being so early in the morning no one was there to steal claim. I ask a brd friend and he comes to help out. So now we have the perfect set-up. With Mambo I can last longer.
We get ready, and get claim again. I get chary down to 90% and it seems ok. Then all of a sudden he does Cross Attack that one shots me and we all wipe again...

Round 3, a ToD getter tells us his ls has ppl on the way down. So we prep and have another go. I was so tired and alittle frustrated at the way things were going and was thinking of giving up. But I didn't want to waste everyone's time so we have at it. So much better. First few minutes of the fight went smooth. Utsu was up and Chary probably hit me about 20% of the time with my evasion gear and Mambo. Everything went great and we get Chary to about 15% life when the other ls shows up. The ToD getter was taking care of a pop Devil Manta and her ls was telling her to mpk us. Real nice of them... :nono:

Obviously she didn't which I appreciate very much. We kill Chary and I get my Joy Toy!! After all I am finally 1/6 on this beast. It was an epic battle. And probably one of the most memorable moments to me in this game. I want to thank the people that helped me:

Thanks for staying up for me. It was a good test on my ninja tanking skills. And honestly was very fun and exciting. I got no sleep at all that day XD

to us at the end. Sorry if it was a waste of time for you man

I remember when I was helping a JP linkshell fight this and we linked a devil manta or agroed i should say, and no one would help us, though once we wiped we killed the links for them, no thank you of course...

grats dude, idk it was fairly easy for us ( rdm rng nin) I just tanked it with all eva gear of course then when rdm got low on mp he would just bind it. we would regather ourselves and go again.. But luckily you never ever have to worry about that again ^^ Now all we need is some W legs for both of us, you find the npc that sells em yet?
