I know my post count is quite low, but as I've been downloading a huge torrent file that's eating almost all of my bandwidth (as I type this, it _still_ has over 4h's to go), I figured I would dive into Photoshop again, and play around with making a new sig. I know I could never match the talent, of, say Sabia for example, but I went ahead anyways. Before I actually upload it to be my new sig, I'd like some opinions on if I should stick with the old one, and retry again on a later date, or plug the new one in.

so here's the old one (my first true use of Photoshop ever)

(it says 60 whm not 61 because I totally forgot to change it lol)

and the new one

More taru figures = win

I like the top one better looks cuter ^^

Really the only thing I can see is to lose the stroke/matting around the chracter models or change the stroke so it blends better w/ your background. Other than that it looks great.

I took your advice Nogard. While totally removing the stroke effect just didn't work, so I dropped the opacity of it to 40%, and I think that helped, but I'm no expert. So here it is, with those stroke layers toned down a bit.

In reply to Skanya, the first one is cute. It will/does/still hold(s) a special place in my heart cause I actually learned how to use layers and the magic wand while making it. And apparently it was..different enough for someone (a rdm, I'm very sorry, I don't remember your name) to pick my name out while running past them in the Labyrinth of Onzozo. Thanks again for the help with the cleanup down there in that FREAKING EVIL place.

And in reply to Oraga, no it's not me dying. It's a good guess though. As strange as it is, I don't die all that often, as pld or whm. As a quick hint being dropped, it's not someone wearing whm af would be doing ever.

Thanks to the ppl who have spent the time to reply to this.

Much better.. Another option is to add a drop shadow and change color from default to something in line w/ your background and adjust it for blending and depth. be sure to use your blur tool w/ a soft brush to take the hard pixels off the edges of your character model if using drop shadow. (duplicate layer under orignal, set fill to 0%, then shadow from this layer .. not original, this lets you soften edge of original and not deteriorate the integrity of the shadow layer. ^^)

+rep on the sig though ... great work ... keep makin em and they get easier
