So as you all probably know from me talking about it, my current position in my job has been edgy. We have a requirement to collect $16.5k per month. Well I have a heart, unlike most collectors and I dont like to push people beyond their limits, so Ive known that my job was on the edge as I had only collected $4000 for the month of December so far. So when I woke up this morning there was a call from my employer telling me that they had decided to go ahead and let me go. Now, Im a very emotional person and Christmas is very important to me. So I'm sitting on my couch, crying my eyes out thinking of how not only is Christmas ruined, but the strain on my marriage will be terrible also. And I sat and prayed that something would help the situation. Thats when my phone rang. ...

A local temporary staffing agency in my area called me with a position open!! Then when I was finally smiling, a job that I applied for that I REALLY want called me for an interview!!!! So now I can work this temp position while interviewing for the one I really want! Christmas is saved!!!!

So remember people, every once in a while, someone up above looks out for us. When we think there is just no hope, someone reminds us that there is!

All I can do is thank the one soul that was looking out for me, was it Santa? Was it god? Was it my guardian angel? That is something Ill never know for sure. But I can tell you one thing, the Christmas spirit is strong for me! I feel so thankfull and warmed there are no words to describe it.

I hope everyone experiences their own Christmas Miracle this year! Merry Christmas!!!

Oh and btw...getting laid off over the phone? Your old work/manager was lame!!
 
Yes I agree she is lame. But in all honesty I hated the job anyway. Crappy work hours didnt allow me to be a full time mommy.

Gratz, hope the new job works out better than the old. I really dislike debt collectors and usually end up screwing w/ em if they ever call me.

Sorry that happened so near to christmas and all but sounds like your in a better spot now. Take care and happy holidays.

What an awesome story to hear this time of year. I am one who believes that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we just never get to know the reason.
