I got accepted into the early preview program again, this time it limits what i can do until the update goes live for everyone.
But so far, its pretty.

This update brings an entirely new boot screen for when you turn on your system, it felt like something that i figured they would do when they brought out avatars, but was surprised when they didnt.
But im happy with what they chose, it looks fresh and much smoother and more updated yet simple at the same time.

The first major thing i noticed was the complete change in how avatars look. They no longer have that short and stubby cartoon look, they are now taller, slimmer and more proportionate to real people.
Sadly i cannot see how some of the more detailed avatar clothing looks on them as for the preview i am limited to using the default clothes. So i cannot use any awards ive earned till then.

The menus are set up pretty much the same, except that the blocks look "flatter" now and move smoother.
The text used in the menus is also different, its more bold and condensed than the old font.

I also cannot chat with anyone or send voice messages with anyone until the update reaches everyone, that is because of the new audio codec that has been implemented for voice chat. It intends to make voice chat crystal clear instead of using the same ol codec they have been using since xbox 1.

When pushing your guide button you will notice a big difference. While still set up to represent the old original dashboard, its also graphically flat now, with a completely white back ground and gray tabs. It uses the new font as well and moves, much smoother. When bringing up messaging to send to a friend, it also uses this and looks nicer.

When looking at a friends gamer card, it no longer has a circle in the corner showing how many years they have had live gold accounts. It is now implemented right into the gold/silver bar above the card. I like how this looks.

editing your avatar has received an overhaul as well, the menu presents more options on the screen all at once instead of having to file through different pages of content. Even taking a snap shot of your avatar has gotten better. Your avatar stands in the middle and tons of different pre-rendered photos appear for you to choose from, you can of course still take your own. You can even choose new background colors and designs for your gamer pic, i personally have chosen a white burst of light for my background. There are others such as the desert, an island and way more!

i can sample the espn stream, but im not a sports fan so i have not tried it yet.

This is all i have seen from just about 20 minutes of browsing. Ill update if i find any more nuggets in this.
