Nother cute GM conversation..

If you take offense to my post, please don't, I'm not a mean person, nor do I intend to be mean in anyway.. its just kinda getting old don't you think?

I'd also like to add that, I too, think this is getting old, but as long as there are gil sellers, it'll continue to haunt us.

Your right neo, it is RMT, but what proof do you, I, or anyone else have? None, therefore we cannot bitch to GM's about someone buying or selling gil, cause they have no power to judge that. Until valid proof is brought forth, each and every one of us are going to have to work just as hard, or harder to take back all those spawns that you have mentioned.

I think you misunderstood my point completely neo, I am trying to get across the people, that there are other ways of making a decent income other than camping NM's. Unless you have the time and dedication to doing so, then there is no reason to bitch that you only have 2hrs to play and want to spend it on camping a NM which for all you know is a 2% chance you get a drop.

Keep in mind GMs have to deal with the language barriers this game causes. To us “You Sell Gil?” is a question asking the person if they sell gil. To a person who only speaks broken English it could be interrupted as you are asking them to sell gil to you. The GM understood your intentions, which is why he warned you of the outcome, but he could have done a better job explaining to you why you can’t simply say “You Sell Gil”.

If I was to say “English Only” in my search comment that could be interrupted several different ways. One being I only want to party with NA Players, or that I only want to party with people who speak English no matter if they are in America or Japan, or that I only want to party with people in the UK. Same phrase, different interpretations.

The policy of treating Gil Sellers and Gil Buyers the same is a good policy, because both are causing the problem, even though it upsets you that it ties you hands when trying to bust a Gil Seller.

This is true. Up until today, I don't think ANYONE has brought enough evidence to get any gil seller banned. GM's need proof that someone is trying to sell gil THROUGH the game, but the sellers arent that dumb.

I misread your point about the NM's. I thought you meant making money in general, not specifically through NM's. In that case, gilsellers actually help crafting at times. They keep prices stable, and hardly undercut, but sometimes it would be nice to see what FFXI would be like without gilsellers.

Wth...the GM I talked to never said anything like that to me. I asked basically the same question. Just told me them saying it wasnt "solid proof"...
Yeh, that's why I just hadto post that screenie, since it completely contradicts (is that the right word?...) what a different GM said..

And Neo, technically yeh, gilsellers can help the crafters by keeping some kindof steady flow, but if they get the ONLY flow (i.e. Luckyangel using that damn proggy that lets her know exactly where Morion's ??? pops..) of an item, they can force an inflation of the item, making it much worseoff.

I thought you guys knew...

All gil seller companies give SE 20% of there cut...

:P jk
Honestly as of late I have begun to think this is not just another conspriacy theory. Theory being that SE ignores a majority of the Chinese Gil sellers for a cut of their proffits.
