Overpopulation

Canada in general not so much. However, the immigration here is WAY THE FUCK out of control.

Caucasian families vs minority families is decreasing at an alarming rate to the point.. to the point where it's been said "we're just handing over our cities", that from multiple friends/family/acquaintances.

The cost of housing is increasing due to 8+ person families moving into one residence and yet they're still erecting housing (the cookie cutter town-homes) in every direction to house the people in our cities.

We will over populate ourselves for damn sure. We're no where near as bad as other countries.. but (much) sooner than later we may very well be.

I know it's ignorant to say everyone should pretty much stay where they were born, but with the way things are heading it may be a survival tactic lol

We will run out of resources :( I sometimes think bringing a child into this world (as cliché as it sounds) WOULD be cruel.

I agree with the immigration thing. Not to sound crass but some countries have a limit as to how many children 1 family can have for a reason. I live in Vancouver and there are more people that speak Chinese where I work than English.

Kind of going off topic, but Canada has a major identity crisis going on right now. I was born here and I was taught both English and French (though I suck ass at speaking it and remembering how to write it) yet wherever you go, especially in central Ontario because I am not sure about the rest of the provinces, a lot of signs are not only in English and French, but other languages like Chinese.

I went to the Toronto Zoo last summer and all the exhibits were in English and a form of Chinese - not French. On the Toronto Talk Radio Station CFRB 1010, they were discussing an instance where a nurse who was fluent in both English and French - the official languages- was DENIED a job at a Toronto hospital because she could not speak Punjab or some other language that has to do with either India or Pakistan. The arguement was that too many older immigrants come over to Canada and refuse to laarn the English language, and a lot of them don't even like having their children learn it.

All I have to say is, tough shit. English is a very dominant language around the world. HOWEVER, if I were to move to any other fucking country outside of North America, I would have to learn the official language to do anything there. They would not cater to my language barrier or cultural needs. And why should they? And why the fuck should we?

lol One of the Chinese women I work with yelled at a woman for speaking to her in Mandarin: "SPEAK ENGLISH!"

It's funny, when one of my friends talks about how homosexuality isn't natural, something I saw on 20/20 a while back is what I use as an example of how it may actually be very natural. They did a study with lab mice, with varying densities in population in tanks, and found the tanks with the higher density actually contained homosexual (and lesbian, though really the same thing) tendencies in a number of the mice. They theorized it may be a natural form of population control, which would make sense. What would be easier to slow a species reproduction down, try and turn off the urge, or simply redirect it. It's funny, so many are arguing over abortion rights (I am undecided atm), yet I believe fertility drugs are a much bigger problem, turning parents who were genetically unable to have even one child, into parents of triplets, quadruplets, etc. This possibly is weakening future bloodlines, while allowing for births that aren't needed (no one seems to look to adoption anymore, it's sad), which increases our population further.

I also am not into conspiracy theories but I do believe there is one. Anyone can tell you that the rates for cancer are extremely high (Around 1 in 3 will get cancer according to Cancer Society, though I feel this is a bit exagerated). However, do you ever notice that hardly any celebrities ever die of cancer, and the ones who announce they have cancer to the public always beat it, except the really old ones.

The chance to die from cancer isn't really that high anymore if you discover it in time. I'd guess the reason most celebrities that get cancer don't die from it, is because they have a lot of money, not because the government want them to live. When they visit a hospital, the hospital know they have a lot of money, and it is in the hospital's best monetary interest to make that patient well again. Additionally, it is in the movie company's best interest to keep them well as well, and celebrities likely have more hospital visits so that they will keep being well. Thus, cancer is discovered early on in most celebrities, and can thus be treated before it becomes a real danger.

Anyway, there is no failproof way, or a way to increase the chance of a baby becoming a male, in a NATURAL way. It is always a roughly 51% chance to be female and 49% chance to be a male (Well, like 50.3 versus 49.7 or something like that)

Most of these so-called theories come due to certain animals having the ability to adjust and produce babies of a certain sex if it is needed. The "hot day" theory probably come from crocodiles, where the temperature of the surrounding where the eggs lay decide on the gender of the kids.

These have no affect on humans. The ONLY thing affectable is how great the chance the woman will get pregnant is. It is, for example, not good for the man to take a hot bath before the sexual act if you plan to produce a baby, as sperm requires a very exact temperature to be in the best possible shape. A hot or cold bath will thus reduce the quality of the sperm.

Those studies also showed that when the mice population increased too much, the mice would commit suicide.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, the same holds true to humans in regard to homosexuality. However, as I also mentioned, the "studies" made on humans is flawed, as it doesn't take in to consideration things like homosexuals moving in to the same part town if it is known to house many homosexuals, to easier find a partner etc.
