I've been up 24 hours so this post may seem a little off. I just got done camping Ancient Salt, for Opo-Opo Crown. I have to say Pakoman and I got the Wyvern Skull around midnight est. After only three fights it seemed that these Opo-Opo Crown items were a cake-walk. I was wrong.
Pakomen offered to help me get the Ancient Salt. Mistake on both our parts. After reaching Quicksand Caves and after getting lost once we finally reach the four spawn points of the only Sand Diggers in the game. We start killing and decide this might take a little bit longer than the skull did but it was no biggy, it was still early that evening.
So about 3k EXP, 4k gil, and 10-12 Kindred/Beastman seals drop we finally get some help from a thf who just happened to be wanding through the caves. It had been over 7 hours and we were getting quite interesting to say the least. Our madness drove us to threatening to kill all worms across the land to yo momma jokes made at the two Antica in the small room which we got to know on first name basis (dead and deadnext). On a side note the two Antica looked suprisingly like us and we decided they are us from the future, stuck in that sand-pit killing worms in the blind hope of ever getting Ancient Salt.
Anyways, so back to the thf joining. After the thf, Xalo, joined us we figured that nothing much was going to happen. The first 8 kills went without any drops. Finally, around half an hour after Xalo decided to help that lovely drop text showed A Chunk of Ancient salt. I about fell over in my chair, not to poke too much at anime cliche.
Well I lotted that bad boy, an incredibly sad 28, and am one happy person. I can finally go to bed but not after thanking the two people who made this possible. Xalo, I know the thread is named after Pakomen but thats just because he put up with me for over 9 hours. I'm glad you were wandering through the desert and I salute you.
Pakomen, thanks a bunch for helping me and may you never see another worm again in your LIFE. I know I don't want to. Hopefully you can assist me next weekend with Lucky Egg if I don't get help for it by then. Great times, also thanks for making me want to be a bst again. Hopefully I'll start lvling soon.
