Returning to Vana'diel after 4 Years :-)

[Sindern]

Well, I didn't think I'd ever be back in FFXI, but here I am after 4 years of playing World of Warcraft. There's something about this game that just draws me back to it though... kindof a love-hate relationship.

Anyway, my linkshell has apparently been broken and I've only see one friend left on my friend list that I've seen online so far so it's been a lonely few days. :< Hopefully that'll change once I get this darn Genkai 3 quest out of the way and get back to leveling.

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi and if anyone from my old linkshell (whose name I've forgotten) remembers me, a special hello to them. See you all in-game.

[Excim]

Welcome back. This is where you belong anyway. :spiteful:

[Tristam Green]

Welcome back - and I'm glad to see you know how to spell "y'all" correctly. It shows that you're not full of shit

[Taint]

Hello. Welcome back to Quetz.

[Shale]

Welcome welcome! I'll be your friend!

[Sindern]

Well, I see some things never change. :/ I've been waiting in Jeuno for ~4 hours now as a WHM with /inv on and not a single tell for a party. Normally I pass the time selling teleports but I haven't seen any shouts for those either. It seems like a lot has changed... for one thing, my chat log sits perfectly still for 20 minute stretches at a time.

Is the server that dead or have people moved on to a new area that I don't know about?

-edit-
Hmm, I just did "/sea all inv" and it seems like most of the people are in a place called "WhiteGate." Should I head there maybe? Oi. I have no idea what's going on anymore.

[Shale]

Whitegate is the new hangout for .. well, everyone. When ToaU was released, everyone was so won over by the increased exp gain and warp taru that they never looked back.

Pretty annoying quest to get to it, but worth it. Mog locker and all.

[Revert]

Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
