I think we should have one or have another if we already did this. and be kinda like the SE one but just for Quetzy of course. as for rewards we can always figure something out there are alot of bright people here who can all think. Of couse i can gladly provide the webspace to store the screens :P
 
By all means, if someone wants to get it started I can sticky the topic and such, unfortunately I am unable to provide any prize gil at this time (though some of the gil Java still owes me could be used I suppose), other than that I can provide custom board titles for the winner(s).
 
Sounds like an idea, if we can make a thread making some rules and sticking it, and you can provide some webspace for people uploading them, I'll be glad to hand out a gil prize, I'll think of it Saturday and see what I can come up with.
 
Ok Well We will need I am guessing 3 judges, a set of rules, a good theme for the first week. prize money.

First off I wish to hold a position for judge #1, As a judge you can not participate as a contestant in the event I think our buddy Sculli should be a judge as well.

some rules should be:

1. one entry per week per contestant.
2. names must be shut off using /names on/off
3. screenshots have to be taken with the official screenshot function not Fraps or any other 3rd party program.
4. each contest will last for 2 weeks starting sunday and ending the second sunday after.

anything else that should be added?
 
Yeah, I was thinking of rules like that, but the judge thing sounds good, if Sculli decides to be one, and I become one, we'll have 3 right there, none of us will participate. We also need to do something about PS2 users, since they can't send thier pictures. The only thing I could think about is making my POL mail account public and having them attach the pictures in e-mails to me, and I'll post it for them.

As far as themes go, yeah, we should try to avoid things that can single people out, such as only in areas that are high level, etc.

What I'm thinking as judges we round up the best screenshots, and break it down to just a select few, and then have the forum users select the final winner, perhaps like 3-4 screens and let them all decide. Sculli can see if anyone registers mulitple times I believe to look for people pushing the vote on the boards.

Anyway, with Summerfest going on, I think we should hold on it for like a week, but I will defiently put up the gil prize once the crazyness of the event has died down.
 
Agree'd As for themes I will if its gonna be in zones where anyone can get to perhaps our first one can be Tahrongi or maybe West Ronafure. We will hold a poll on a few areas later after this summer who ha passes over.
 
I think themes for each contest would be pretty cool. Like the SE contests, one could be your favorite place, another would be your biggest fear, another could be comedy shots, another would be all around, etc.
 
or...the most perverted picture of the week =O
i would join for that one but hm.. no idea's yet for a perverted picture XD
