So those boots aren't just a myth after all..

[Nycon]

Hey all. I'm not one to create "Good Times" threads. In fact this is my first ever. I had to create one for this though. Anyone who know's me ingame, knows how long I've been after LL and her damn boots. I've camped that NM for over a year, and going into last night was 0/27 on the drop.

Decided to head out again for another camping session last night. My good friend Shmedly came out to lend me some TH2 action. Needless to say, after a claim and no drop (0/28 ) , we got a second claim, and I was very surprised to see them finally drop!!

I've never been one to camp many NM's, but after we got the boots to drop, Shmedly mentioned we should go check and see if VE was being camped. Headed out to the dunes, and about 5-10 ppl were out there. Missed claim on the first pop. About an hour and 15 minutes later, I see VE up on Widescan, and run and outclaim about 3 ppl with Flash.. Never thought the hairpin would actually drop on my first ever claim of VE(this was only my 2nd time ever camping it) but sure enough, it dropped!!! Going 1/1 on the hairpin more then makes up for the 1/29 on LL... Now just to get those darn O-Kotes

Would like to give a special thanks to Shmedly for coming out and lending me TH. Not to mention all the bitching he's heard from me about that damn lizard! lol. Also thank's to Beldy for coming out for extra claim support on VE. Last but not least, I must thank the Golden Horseshoe that Shmedly has been unable to dislodge from his ass~!

[Kairiboo]

Congrats, I know you've been after those a long time, and two in one night thats awesome. Grats ^^

[Tristam Green]

Good job Nycon and Shmedly Hope I don't go that long on Centurio, but it's certainly shaping up like that.

[Uzor]

Lol, when I saw this on the front page, the first thing that popped in to my mind were "So those boots aren't just made for walking".

Good job though! I gave up camping Valkurm Emperor and Leaping Lizzy after god knows how many kills >.<

Well, the name of the boots indicates they aren't, so I guess that follows

[Keryan]

Congrats. Sounds like your on a good streak.

Grats hehe i am currently 0/24 on LL so i know how must of felt.

But, i did camp the new o.kote saturday night and got them 1/1 =)

[Kaete]

Yay boots and hairpin!! Now we can level something else together!

[shmedly]

I can't say it enough, Grats Bro'! I'm very glad that you finally got this lizard off your back and that I don't have to listen to your constant whining bitching and complaining about those boots anymore.ld: :badwords:  I don't know how much my TH2 or "Golden Horshoe" helped, but i'm glad I was there when they finally dropped. Next stop Castle O. then off to the Sacrarium for you.

Peace,
Shmed

[Kotsu]

I'm 0/10 on boots, 0/12 on hairpin, 0/12 on Assault Jerkin and 0/8 on o-kote. Never bring me to camp anything. Ever. ; ; Worst part is I have my thief high enough for TH2. Congrats man ^^;; good luck with o-kote

I feel your pain brother.

1/24 on the O.kote, not to mention the countless no claims. 0/10ish on Hoo Mjuu. 0/9 on LL. 0/6 on Emp. 10ish/Well over 200 on Morion worm (When it used to be worth something...). 0/countless on any other money drop NM I have ever tried to camp. I did go 1/5 on Nue and 1/4 on Dodo though, maybe thats SE's little kickback to me for boning me so often >.>

Thats all for my pity party. Hope you enjoyed...Back on topic...

Congrats man. Two pieces who's value far outlasts the stress required to camp them. Enjoy it.

It scares me I was thinking the same thing....Except in my mind that song started playing and I was humming it as the thread loaded lol

Grats Nycon! I went 1/13 VE but LL has been very good to me over the years!

[jamal]

1/27 on VE, thats just claims...which I could never do. But don't worry Nycon, SE will make it up to you. While leveling Woodworking they did it for me. Two Eight-sided Pole+1's in <5 minutes: *My only tier 0 hq's to date* SE will always reward persistance.
/end sarcasm

[Zaltana]

congrats dude. now you're pimper then that gimp taru blm that follows you around all the time.

[exodusamphi]

1/4 LL and 1/4 VE... I guess im the lucky one. The best part is those 2 pieces of gear just rot in my inventory unless I get bored and level thf or nin.
