As far as subjobs, I hope to sub WAR all the way. As pointed out, a THF sub makes you dish out good dmg once every minute. WAR sub makes you consistanly hit for nice dmg, twice in a row from time to time.

I also wanna sub WAR because I assume there will be a regular THF in the party, that way I can setup SATA with a provoke and let the THF glue hate on the tank. Then I just do my stuff with a few absorb-spell and berserk.

after 66 you won't see a thf and a drk in the same PT.

for after 66 you should be subbing thf for SPinning slash...dont see going to 75 with /war as a good idea >.>

drk and thf are both skill chain closers. drk can close light and darkness, thf can close light. unless you have another melee in there to open the 2 SCs, you won't have drk and thf in same PT. but then if you have 4 melee... that means you only have 2 mages... :roll:

Spinning slash has very bad accuracy. Missing with it wont be too good. Also the damage it will do(usually in 4 digits) and the damage of the light skillchain it will create(usually the same) will generate some nice hate to kill your dark with ^^

dont listen to everything your "friends tell you." -. - logic tells me TA wont affect all 4 hits of Guillitone because SA doesnt either. Ill have to look into it though

Also, TA does not increase damage dealt by itself.

As far as I know TA does actually add damage to an attack. I am not sure nor can I confirm this.

IIRC, as a /thf sub TA only transfers hate, there is no added damage. same thing with SA when you /thf sub, it is only a 2x critical.

I know for a fact that as a THF main job TA increases damage on the hit if your lined up.

No offense Amidamaru, but this is the kind of stuff I try and avoid when picking DRK's for PT's. Just because you can do such a combo doesn't mean its smart. You will surely die after such a combo (unless you did it when the mob had but a sliver of life), you will take aggro from the tank, piss off EVERYONE in the pt, and most likely get a D2 home and a boot from the PT.

Which is why for the most part I don't invite DRK/THF people into my PT's unless I know them, or at least have gotten to know them. aka, making sure they don't try anything as stupid as what was quoted above.

Not in all aspects. My good friend is a DRK/WAR and does Berserk+LR+Souleater+ Guillotine = 1.2k DMG, yeah I lose hate, but with my usual 3 BLM pts the mob is dead before he can die even if he does it at near full HP.
