I also had a party the other day where the WHM STOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIGHT WHILE CASTING!!!!! I hate telling people how to play, (because as a RDM, I get people telling me what to cast immediately when I enter a party...not just the other mages - the pricks who have never been a mage, but still think they know my job better than i do...)ANYWAY I kept asking the WHM to stand back because he kept getting sleep cast on him, and was pulling all the hate. He was like "I pull hate no matter where I stand, so it shouldn't matter"

WTF?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!? If you are farther away from the battle, and pull hate - then the war or pally or whatev can voke it off of you before it hurts you. DUMBASS!!!! He died 4 times...then I left. As a RDM/BLM - I was healing more than he was anyway. I HATE STUPID PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And how the hell did he survive to lvl 30 w/ shitty tactics like that?!?!?!?!? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Any WHM can make it to 30, actually, anyone can make it to 30 with stupid tactics...

As a Nin, I have this problem. At low levels it takes FOUR SECONDS (an eternity) to re-cast Utsusemi Ichi. At higher levels its faster (1 1/2 secs to cast Utsusemi Ni).

The party needs a backup tank who's job is to provoke the mob as soon as the Utsusemi shadows are used up - this gives the Nin a chance to re-cast without being interrupted. As soon as they get Utsusemi back up, they'll provoke it back again. A lot of melees don't seem to understand this.

I have one macro that casts Utsusemi. I have another macro that chimes a sound, and announces "Utsusemi used up. Please provoke." (or anything that can effectively peel the mob) -- and most of the time people just ignore it. In the meantime the Whm is draining all their MP trying to "cure" me because I can't get Utsusemi back up. IF ONLY SOMEONE WOULD VOKE I could get it re-cast and the Whm wouldn't be going through all the MP on me.

Any enfeebles which actually slow the mob down (e.g. paralyze) or speeds the Nin up (e.g. Haste) will help a lot. If you have a Nin in the party try to keep Haste on them at all times while they're using Utsusemi.

I guess this gets back to "people you hate". I find that when people don't party right with a Nin, I recognize they just lack the experience so I'll explain to them how it all works and the party will click well, the mages wont being going through mana like it was water in the desert, and the XP will flow! Everybody wins. EXCEPT, you get these arrogant people who just don't want to be told (don't tell me how to do my job).

Hey, I botched my first party with a Nin too - the guy had to tell ME how to play a good backup tank for hi. The problem there was he didn't have any macros and just thought that as the million lines scroll by in the battle that I'd catch him typing "voke" from time to time. I asked him to set a macro with an actual call that was loud and distinct so I get the audio cue to voke instead of depending on catching it whilst it scrolls past. In the end he did... but acted disgusted that I had to ask him to do that.
 
-Thieves that can't get off an SATA to save the goddamn world and gets pissed at the tank because they voke when the first voker is about to die and then said thief proceeds to SATA off of the fucking half dead monk and get them killed before i can pull hate back because (drumroll please) the monk was down to about 80 or so health. Whew, that made me feel better.

-RDM's that tell ME that i don't need to have refresh cast on me cuz im an Elvaan pld and it doesnt take long to recover MP. Well then fuckhead, how exactly do you expect me to hold hate in a high damage party where we are chaining up to 5 and my Shield Bash and Sentinel are gone and I have no mp b/c I have no time to rest. Here's a tip, part of my job is to cure myself to hold the hate, i can do my job 10 times better and quicker if you refresh me and DO UR OWN FUCKING JOB.

Oh and once again I encounter a tanking blm. Him and the drk decided itd be fun to see who could pull more hate off the pld. I swear to god im going to carry a Scroll of Instant Warp on me from now on.

As a RDM I must say....wtf....I refresh everyone who needs it and still have mp to back up heal or nuke when needed. I make sure by the beginning of the fight myself, WHM, and PLD are all refreshed. If there is a DRK and/or BLM in the party I refresh them as soon as I get the first three done. PLD's are tanks, cures pull hate which makes it better to tank. I know I pull hate when I have to spam cures because I am main healer and get turned into the tank. Everyone PLD I have partied with has also been a part of SC's. Why make them rest and lose TP when you can refresh them? Also why make the party wait while chaining mobs so that the PLD can get mp when you can simply refresh them? So please RDM's when you get refresh use it and do your job. It takes 40 mp each I know but if you run out of mp.....use convert that's why you have it.
 
Today, I partied in Yhoator Jungle.

BOTH of our tanks were wearing level 10-15 armor, and subpar accessories.

How do people get that far without someone taking them aside and telling them to GET THEIR ASSES IN GEAR and upgrade their goddamn equipment?! It boggles my fucking MIND!!
 
I love my linkshell...but recently there are certain players that seem to be all about being cocky and freaking all about comparing penis sizes instead of helping eachother out. I HATE THAT! It may just be me, being the only girl - but I love the concept of Linkshell's because - in my mind, they are friends to ask advice to, to bitch to Kazham about, to help you out when you need to level or finish tough quests/missions, etc. A noob member that was a recent addition to the LS mentioned that he had died the other day, and a member of ours (who continually comments about how "strong" he is...) actually said that he "never dies" COME THE F ON!!!!!!!! We all freaking die.

Also, again - I am not certain if this is because I am "the girl" but if I ever get the teensiest bit ahead of some of the members, whether it be during lvling or if I finish a rank mission before some of the guys - they can't TAKE it, and make it their mission to also finish the same thing - then proceed to be like "HAHA - guess who ELSE is Rank 5" or whatever. I DID NOT REALIZE I WAS IN COMPETITION WITH MY LINKSHELL!!!! I DO NOT WANT TO BE!!!! I am ok with people competing with eachother - but damn it, I do not want to be part of it.

*sigh* THANK YOU - I feel better now. I love all these guys, they make the game WAY more fun for me, and I appreciate every single one of them....it was just an ANNOYING week for ego's, I guess.
