Been a hard core EQ player for 4 years before comming to FFXI. My character was a wizard, although I also had a couple of 65s. I currently had 65 wiz, (main) 65 druid, 65 bst, 62 cleric, 64 ench. I 2 boxed in EQ as well as most of my raiding guild did. My "enjoyment" in eq started to fall down when we started raiding Vex Thal, obviously the most boring notorious place to be. If you think doing Coffer key camp is dull... then camping Vex thal key is a living hell. Specially if you did 3~4 times (ugh...).
Anyways, as the time went on, people got tired of broken content, Competition of mobs and other crap load of things that happend in EQ. So my Guild slowly started to quit. LDON made me come back a bit, but after a couple of runs I got tired aswell. AT the point when the guild numbers went from 60+ into 20... I was not having fun. I made a beast for a change but after reaching 65 really started to get boring aswell. So I have chose FFXI for a change despite the fact that many of my guild mates said FFXI was bad with full of bugs. My first server was I think in titan. Hume female warrior started in windrust. After level 6 I had a confusion that if I wanted to be a warrior I have to start in sandoria (DOH). So I remade Shiia and here in Quetz. That was my start. I left EQ completely this April, stating that My wizard will be no more. Many people have told me to stay but I was tired of EQ. I haven't even gone to GoD expantion. Was tired of grinding AA points aswell -_- (and now to think FF having merit points...)
My whm friend was also an EQ player. He was a cleric in there but also left soon after I left. I have gathered a world pass for him (although as a 30 whm 1600 gil at that time was very very steep...) and thats basically my story.
