What is the maximum tomberry grudge someone can get?

Anyone know how much you have to pay if you got the maximum grudge?

I never resetted mine and the tomberry asks me for 4000gils exactly, so post it here if you got better one than 4000gils or know the maximum, if any.
 
Ive never heard about this before, can someone explain to me what Tonberry Grudge is please?
 
Basically, the more Tonberry kill, the more they all hate you. I think it has to do with the move they have called Everyone's Grudge, and the more tonberry hate you have, the more damage it does. But I could just be pulling that answer out of my ass because I don't have any idea and that sounded like a good answer.
 
Lanien is right. I believe it's:

Number of tonberry you kill x 100

You reset this buy a certain quest in Kazham. You trade a Gold Beastcoin and 4k gil and you're Tonberry Kill counter is reset.
 
The more tomberry you kill, the more dmg you take from everyone's grudge (normal tomberry TP attack) and everyone's Rancor (NM tomberry TP attack).
Also, the price you have to pay after doing the quest to gain the key is affected by the number of tomberries you killed.
 
Actually the quest to reset hate starts in Norg. You trade him 3 Gold Beastcoins and he gives you a key item. That key item allows you to access a cetrain room in Temple of Uggalepih. In that room you talk to a Tonberry NPC and he will ask for gil to reset your hate.

Also you cannot accept the quest to clear hate unless you have any hate,
 
I haven't resetted hate ever XD... my avatar took 1800'ish dmg from it... (and avatar shares my tonberry hate) I ...dont' think I'm going there as a melee anytime soon.
 
im pretty sure there is no cap on the dmg... i saw someone get jacked for around 23k once@_@

Tonberry uses everyone's grudge
wolfskymoon takes 3256 damage.
Wolfskymoon was defeated by the tonberry dil master.
Max on me so far is 3256 and i still don't really know how to reset my hate lmao :lol:
 
Everyone's Grudge = (Number of Tonberries you have killed) x 5
Everyone's Rancor = (Number of Tonberries you have killed) x 50

My max Grudge Damage: 2,235 Damage.
Highest I ever paid the Priest for the Hate to reset: 4,000 G

Ways to avoid Tonberry Hate: When you fight a tonberry call for help during tthe fight. When you call fo rhelp the fight wont go on your record.

To reset Tonberry Hate:

1) Attain 3 Gold Beastcoins.
2) Talk to the NPC in Norg just to the left of the main stairs, he will ask for 3 Gold Beast coins, ans trade you them for a Key (Key Item).
3) Enter Temple Ooga-Booga at teh main enterance.
4) Follow the right wall until you come to a 'T' intersection and take a left.
5) Eventually, if you are tabbing around you will target an unmarked door, click on the door, and you will talk to the Tonberry Priest, who will charge you mony based on your Hate.

Hate Cost:
It's a sliding scale it seems. Minimum 250 G, and Max 4,000 G. the cost, I think, caps out at about 200 kills. And it is a sliding scale. For instance 1-12 Tonberries killed will cost you about 250 G, 13-25 Kills is 500 G, etc...
 
The damage isn't concrete. I'd guess Grudge is more like 3~5 per tonberry killed and it can be anywhere inbetween; I say this because I was partied with a SAM who took 1470ish one fight then only 810 the next. Never hadto deal with Rancor as of yet, so I can't say..

everyone in pt/alliance gets rancor ( the term for tonberry hate ) added
 
Actually i read many places that said only people with any offensive action against a tonberry gets hate.

e.g. Whm casts nothing on tonberry but cures pt - - - no hate
Whm also casts dia - - - gets hate.

Or possibly get hate if it is killed and you are on the mob's hate list.

WHM get hate too. It doesn't matter if they are doing any action or not. I have 15 damage now and I havent killed a Tonberry since I paid my debt, and the person I was goofing off killed 3, he was on the other side of the map.
