The "Jesus Hates you" comment didn't bother me so much as the justification and lack of actual argumentative knowledge displayed by Natashaa. As I've said, read first, learn proper argumentative techniques, and don't use fucking dumb-ass one-liners that make you look, like I said, a hick. Its like saying in response to romper's question, "Because the south will rise again".

People who make light of religion are trailer trash. It has nothing to do with your income level or education. You start harping on what is most dear to people on an internet board, then you're trash, plain and simple.

A hick? Again with that. It may of made me look like an asshole (which is fine with me) but where you pulled hick from I will never know. You are so worried about what I said. Perhaps you could put this kind of fire into something more productive. Get over it. Its done and said. I am not going to take back what I said and it wasnt directed at you so if you took it personal its not my problem. It was a joke. Even over the internet it wasnt hard to figure out it was a joke. Ok, well my reading comprehension skills are top notch, this isn't a debate, and I've never used "fucking dumb-ass one-liners." The hick thing I can't really argue, I live in the rural South, it's part of my culture. Her justification of the joke was just fine. They can make fun of Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Buddhists all they want, pass around a "Achmed the Dead Terrorist" video like it's the funniest thing since 3 jews got together and poked each other in the eyes, yet you say one thing about a man that never took action against those that repressed him, and you're suddenly the debil. Hipocrisy is ok to make fun of in my book, most intelligent people understand that. I'm surprised you don't Jamal.

I can generalize as a populace that there are many people who use this forum that probably have some type of religious background. I don't feel any of those are right. Religious prejudice is just as serious as racial prejudice. Many cultures force you into a religion, so really, you are born into the situation, just as your are with your race.

You've taken my point then. It's not ok for people to get all huffy when someone makes fun of their religion, when they'll do the same thing to everyone who doesn't agree with them. I grew up in a Fundie background in the Bible belt, I know there's no such thing as an open-minded Christian. Every religion is based on rediculous statements and events, they all revolve around faith. If your faith is tested by an off-handed joke, then you either need to do more research into your religion, or ask for forgiveness from your god.

Ok and so calling people names makes you immature and not intelligent. You can not speak for everyone as you are only one person. This is a self righteous attempt to make yourself look all mighty and it is quite sad. You point is noted, however trivial it may be. I got it. You made your poing several times but it was hard to take seriously backed up with the mindless name calling and childish banter.

Their faith isn't being tested by any means, its just not productive argumentation to make an ignorant statement like that. Being open-minded and protecting your faith are two entirely different aspects. I can be open-minded with the friends my sisters choose to hang out with, but if one of them makes a comment I deem inappropriate, I sure as hell am gonna respond.
