Starting a thread to post your favorite anime to watch via youtube or bit torrent or etc. Just post one or two and give a link to where one can find the anime. Just something people can watch to pass the time or if they need a laugh or etc.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu

Kaname Chidori and Sagara Sousuke are the stars of this short comedy portion to the Full Metal Panic Series. Nice anime to get some laughs out of, and it's very short. There are 15 parts and 2 special episodes. This is one of the first non-old school animes I watched; I got a few friends into anime itself by having them watch the first episode. I think this was one of the anime in the golden years a few years back... (when naruto anime was young, fma was just starting, bleach wasn't out 'yet,' etc etc.) Give the link a shot and have a laugh :) The parts are just random mini-stories, some last a whole episode, some last half an episode, and one even spans 2 episodes.

Rating 8/10

(If you youtube search for 'Fumoffu Special' you'll find the 2 special episodes. The special episodes happen BEFORE the start of the anime.)

Ah, I love that series. It's funniest if you've actually seen the original FMP season though. I think it's best when you know how the characters interact already, and then Fumoffu blows it up to the most extreme limit. =P

I've got to agree with you. It was quite a golden age for anime that started to falter with the Naruto fillers. The stuff that comes out nowadays just doesn't have the same kick it did before. Where's that awesome cyberpunk revolution like Serial Experiment Lain gone? Too bad the internet is mainstream now. Those days were awesome.

It's not technically my favourite, but on behalf of Khali's thread and the cyperpunk generation, I put forth:

Serial Experiment Lain
http://www.crunchyroll.com/showseries?id=120

And then go watch Hackers while you're at it, because if you havn't seen it, then you can't quality as elite. It's an official requirement. Look it up.

oh yeah. i forgot.. Samurai Champloo was being subbed too at that time... good times.... good times...

Ah good I was looking for different anime to get into but I wasn't sure what was good and what wasn't. This thread should be a good way to find more. Keep posting people :)!! Been looking into FMA but I haven't watched that yet. It looks pretty good.

Oh and Kenshin is one of my personal favorites. I watched it way before it was released as samuri X. I was introduced to it about 7 years ago or so by a friend. About 2 years later when I got a hold of a decent computer, I downloaded Kazaa back when that was big and I finally got to watch the whole series, the movie, and the OVAs.

I hear good things from my friends about Death Note. Haven't picked it up yet myself, though. It's not very actiony. More similiar to Boogey Pop Phantom, or Serial Experiments: Lain.

But it has a dramatic potato chip eating sequence, so it can't be all bad.

Here's a link to the first episode of the original: Full Metal Panic via Youtube. It's the first half of the first episode...

So if you wanted to watch all of FMP before watching FMPF, there's where it all begins.

My friend just started watching death note a couple days ago and has been raving about it non-stop. I doubt I'll watch it myself, but it seems to be popular.

I just checked out the first 'sode of Death Note on youtube. Think of a typical anime day as the middle of the spectrum.. Bleach would be on one extreme of the spectrum.. and Death Note would be on the otherside.

The storyline seems to be ... What would happen if you stumbled onto a notebook, which had the power to kill anyone just by seeing their face and writing down their name in the notebook? You can also write in their cause of death... if not.. they'll die of a heart attack. That person or those people you write in the notebook would die in the next 40~ seconds. And you'll meet the 'Death God' who 'accidentally' dropped the notebook. Once you write in the book, it's your book, unless you give it to someone else.. in which.. all memories of you owning the book would be erased. But would you give it to someone else? The perfect Straight-A student named 'Light' has the book and in 5 days, he kills all the felons and etc of the world... what will he do next?

So far from episode one you can't really tell where the anime is going but the concept isn't bad.. But based on the concept alone, you can probably predict where the anime is going; but it seems interesting compared to the other anime that are out right now. I may give this one a chance.

Yeah, there's not much action, but there is a ton of intrigue and my friend says it's pretty funny in places too.

I've got to give Death Note my stamp of approval. No, not a lot of action, but the intrigue is actually good. If you're wondering that it'll be an anime with no action, but its plot will still be pretty plain, that's far from the truth. To be honest I thought that to begin with, and the start of the series is a pretty typical anime/manga plot setup, but it turns out to be a really complex and interesting plotline in the long run. I read the manga ahead a few volumes and it seems to have some rather interesting plot twists involved. If you like intrigue, it's definately worth watching or reading.

If you like comedy, i would suggest Zero no tsukaima & Ouran High School Host Club. Zero no tsukaima is somewhat like Harry potter. Comedy+ some action. Pretty nice. Ouran High School Host Club is a comedy/romance. this is a A+ anime i would say. Air gear is quite nice too. Action/sport. Ah not forgetting Inukami, that's pretty nice too.

I am at the moment watching Death Note, Bleach, Pumpkin Scissors, Code Geass, D.Gray-man. Negima!? and Naruto. Waiting for Tales of Symphonia which is releasing this year.

I recommend you guys to have a go on Death Note, Code Geass and D.Gray-man.

After watching a few more episodes of death note... i would have to agree with the guys and suggest watching it. It's very 'slick' so far. It's the 'strategy' like anime so far.. like in the early naruto episodes.. when 'defeating' Zabuza with the shadow windmill shuriken and the Kakashi v. Zabuza battle at the bridge. It's got me very interested... check out youtube to watch the episodes. There's a lotta 'death' it's just RMT slickness sorta... Almost like a Thriller.

Best episode of the few naruto episodes I've watched is episode 124

I would post the link but its blocked on school sites

It's basically showing how great Rock Lee is against Kimimarou, amazing martial arts. Lee drinks a bottle of sake thinking its medicine which makes him pretty much unstoppable^^

My rating 9/10 (since kimi wakes him up=/)

Naruto episode 133(not the chidori kill)

Sasuke and Naruto fight^^ we pretty much see how strong the Nine-tails is when sasuke nearly kills naruto

10/10

edit: this is a good idea for passing maintenace^^ good idea khali

Harui. Something about the sheer insanity of that show I find entertaining.

Yes. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. That show rocks. The first episode is frigging hilarious, too. It gets you hooked right away. =D

Not to crap on the thread, but what's so great about anime? Seriously, I don't understand why there's such a fad goin around with it here lately. And by here I don't mean QCDN, I mean NA.
Great animation style, interesting characters, compelling plots, good comedy; what's bad about it?
