I've been wondering why this hasn't been made for the last 15 years, but they're finally getting around to it. Unfortunately, no matter how good of a job they do, it's "going to suck" to the really zealous fans out there.

Fingers crossed.

I want the hair and costumes to be awesome. I also want a ton of fantastical CG powering up.

I'm not setting any expectations, because I know every single one of them will be smashed to bits.

all I have to say is "lol"

Its gonna suck =P

I thought I saw this before.... Oh wait that was Matrix Reloaded (seriously that's all I could think of during the Neo vs. Smith fight scene). lol at Rappa's link. Seriously I think DBZ would not be a good live action movie but I'm willing to give it a try even if as a rental.

Wow, lol.

Can't wait for the 1 Metre high Golden hair followed by a 20 minute display of Goku standing around yelling "ahhhhhhhhhhh" in an attempt to power up.

Fortunately, they most likely won't do that, since they have a fixed amount of time for a movie. Unless, they try to make 4 movies to cover 5 minutes of a single fight.

There had better be alot of mountain destroying, and if there's no Vegita i'll be pissed.

Yeah, that's one thing I'm really curious about, is just which arc are they going to cover? Since it's the first movie, it might be an introduction, but I really doubt they're going to draw in much of crowd that doesn't already know who the characters are.

So......they're making a movie of how it takes a little longer then 5 mins to destroy a planet?

It only took so long in the anime because there was no manga material to go off of, as they had caught up to it at that point.

I'm not so worried that it may suck for being a real life adaptation as the fact that the guys that did "Final Destination" are involved. God help us all.

<_< Final Destination was(is) an awesome movie. However, I don't see these guys being right for a DBZ movie.

All three movies were exactly the same. The only good thing to come out of any of them was Mary-Elizabeth Winstead in the third one, and only because she's super pretty.

From what I've read of the storyline is that it's pretty much basic Dragon Ball characters in school, and Goku (Who is a teenager) is confronted by an evil alien who tells him that he is a saiyan and about his destiny.

I've also read the following.

""Dragon Ball Z" is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. "

And then.. I did read one fact.

The man behind Kung Fu Hustle is Co. Producing.

>.> /sigh
If this does good, what's the chances of bringing a Sailor Moon movie to the big screen? XD

Well, there was a live-action sailor moon porno, so it's not without precedent.
