It was brought up on DV (www.ffxionline.com) during discussion about the world merge. Midgardsormr had no equivalent to qcdn that I am aware of. In fact I would say Midgardsormr hasn't had a sense of cohesive community as a whole since around the time of ToAU. (The 'dunes culture' as I used to...

Geez, yeah, that's odd. Speaking as someone who's watched the effects of a long process of Midgardsormr population dwindling (we were among the largest when I started), I can't see that happening too often with Midgard refugees. I think most Midgard party leader reactions will be more along the...

There is a bazaar tax there, apparently SE was worried about overcrowding it when they implemented it. I'm almost surprised they didn't disable casting spells just to prevent people trying to use it as a teleport hub. It's still quite handy for meeting to trade things between characters as well...

Yeah, the "Koren" I lost my alt's name to doesn't appear to have been around since early 2008, based on FFXIAH activity (was clearly someone's main).

As for qcdn itself, the site seems to have some issue with its DNS hosting. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I keep having to restart my own local caching nameserver periodically when it stops being able to resolve either qcdn.org or www.qcdn.org. I can usually find my way to the A records...

Welcome, Izzy. I'm Reicoco and I'm a researcher in Windu-- wait, no... *holds head* No, I know you, it's me, Kumei, we explored the emptiness inside the crags and the tonberries' den toget-- no, that's not right, I've never even been to Elshimo...but why do I remember it? This whole 'merge'...

Probably not very well known (I post on DV but not extremely regularly) but I've been on Midgardsormr since late 2005. Thief is currently my only 75, but the only real reason Dark Knight hasn't joined it is that I've stalled at 66 in order to test Dark Magic resist rates against IT mobs (I'm in...

Kumei 97 Denali Kecks (priority), Death Sickle, Denali Jacket, Denali Gamashes, Denali Wristbands, Denali Bonnet, maybe Askar Korazin... THF75, with available subs of WAR, WHM, RDM, DRK, RNG, NIN, DNC (Recommend THF/DNC, the value of Healing Waltz in Nyzul is immense; I also have Aura Steal for...

Midgardsormr doesn't play Ballista. Used to have a small number of folks who bothered at the 50, 60, and uncapped ranges back when I joined (mostly JP), before Brenner was added. Then Brenner was a momentary fad (and all interest in Ballista largely ceased). Then it fell out of favor as anything...
