Found these over on Allak and haven't seen them posted here yet: Not really sure about the first map. In theory it looks like a really simple way to travel between towns but I doubt that's the way it's gonna work. It might just be where each city's representatives gather or something.

Does anyone know of a good resource for maps in the game? Not like, pictures of the maps, but the various methods of attaining each map. Like, where to buy the ones you can buy, what ones need to be quested, and which ones need to be taken out of coffers and the like? Any help would be...

Is there a list anywhere of where to get maps? Ie: A list of which come from dungeons, which from quests and which from merchants, and also details who the merchant and quest giver is? I know that the Vana atlas has a part for where the map is from, but only goes so far as to explain 'Purchase'...

I heard rumor that it was possible to download new maps for FFXI, maps that would label Zones, ???'s, and key quest/mission related areas. Has anyone else heard of these upgraded .dat files, and if so, possibly know where to locate them?
