mold

Has anyone actually seen (or camped) "noble mold" for a pop? I waited for rain on lightsday and nothing. The little info I found about the spawn says, you can't kill the possible place holders for 48-72 hrs. If that is true, how would you ever get one... I zone to zitah, kill one placeholder|s...
