I don't flame much, but I felt that this was something that slightly deserves it.
Tonight, Sabia, Palu, and myself all went to Kazham to level up some of our other jobs. We couldn't find enough for a six person party, so the three of us decided to level off of tough Mandies in Yuhtunga Jungle. We were doing pretty well.
So one time when I went to grab a Mandy, I saw a Warrior with a Hauby on with a train of six or more Goblins, running towards the zone. First thing I thought was "He better not do what I think he's going to do...". So I followed him, hoping that if he was going to zone them all, I'd be able to switch to WAR fast enough to stop a major disaster. He gets to the zone, and then turns around. He starts fighting all of them. Now I'm glad he did fight them, because he'd hear from me if he wasn't going to (probably a GM as well), but training that many Goblins to the zone is stupid. Then after he beats them all, we saw what we were expecting...
/sh from Exsoldier: *WAR's name* is awesome!1 i want to b as strong as him! (probably not exactly what he said, but close enough).
He trained that many Goblins to the zone just so he could show off. People were /cheering him and everything after he beat them all (especially Exsoldier), and of course, he was loving it. He hung out at the zone with another friend or two to just to sit around and show how "1337" he was.
Well, we fought our last Mandy, and I decided just for the hell of it, I'd Mijin Gurku (probably spelled that horribly wrong. NIN 2 hour = BOOM!) on a Goblin right by our camp. So I do it, and I see a /s "that was not wise swishee". Once I was raised by a random WHM passerby, I did /s back "I know the difference between wise and unwise. Training six Goblins to the zone is unwise." He replies "not if u can handle them". Then I replied with "Yeah, and while you're doing it, their Bomb Toss could kill several people around you." Then I just walked away.
Camping the zone for Goblins is alright. I do it sometimes, and I also kill them if it appears as if parties are having trouble getting around. But training several to the zone just to show off is not cool. I'd like to remember his name, but I'm too tired to remember many names right now. Maybe Sabs or Palum will remember it.
